Inpatient Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Greenville South Carolina
In 2016, Greenville County had the third-highest number of overdose-related deaths in the state of South Carolina, which makes the need for drug rehab even more urgent.
Statewide, prescription opioid deaths rose 7 percent in 2016 over the previous year, and 18 percent over 2014; like the rest of the country, South Carolina faces a drug epidemic that’s laying waste to people of all ages. Fortunately, there’s a way out for those afflicted, and it involves getting out of the Greenville-Spartanburg area.
At Cornerstone of Recovery, located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, we’ve been offering substance abuse treatment for addicts and alcoholics since 1989, when we first opened our doors; at the time, there were only 18 beds and 22 employees, but in the years since, we’ve grown into a four-facility campus with more than 100 patient beds and almost 250 staff members, many of them in recovery themselves. We bring a combination of traditional recovery methods and proven clinical approaches to addiction and alcoholism treatment, and over the years we’ve helped thousands of addicts to stop your drug abuse, lose the desire to use and find a new way to live.
The First Step To Finding Lasting Recovery is a phone call away
Many of our patients, like you, didn’t know where to begin, and the thought of getting clean and sober in the same communities in which they used seemed like an impossible task. That’s one reason why traveling three hours from the Greenville area to seek drug addiction treatment at Cornerstone will be one more safety measure to insure you maintain long-term sobriety: You’re removing yourself from the people and places that go hand-in-hand with your addiction and start fresh in a new town, 185 miles from any temptation. When your recovery program is completed, you’ll be able to return to Greenville a stronger, healthier individual, with the necessary tools in place to continue your recovery unimpeded.
What Does Treatment Involve?
We know this because we use proven clinical and traditional models of treatment, from Schema Therapy to Trauma Therapy to APEX, as well as the 12 Steps. You’ll receive both group and one-on-one counseling, in addition to Activity Therapy, Fitness and more to help you address not only your drug use, but the maladies of body, mind and spirit that have led you to use them in the first place. And you’ll do so as part of one of four main treatment programs:
The Newcomer’s Residential Program, designed for those who have no previous experience in 12 Step recovery or a rehab program. It’s a basic education about the disease of addiction and the methods by which you can recover from it;
The Young Adult Residential Program, which caters to young people ages 18 to 26 and provides them with assistance in overcoming vocational and developmental obstacles that have been placed in their path by a young life spent pursuing drugs and alcohol.
The Recovery Renewal Residential Program, a more rigorous examination of issues and stumbling blocks that prevent those with previous treatment experience from sustaining long-term sobriety.
In addition, we’ll narrow your treatment path down even further, should it be required or desired, because we understand that in many cases, you want to salvage careers you’ve worked so hard to build up over the course of your life. You'll also be given the opportunity for outpatient treatment in our Aftercare program, which adds another layer of relapse prevention after you transition out of residential treatment. We like to think that whatever your station, you’ll find a way to become a more responsible, productive member of society with the treatment you receive under our care, and more importantly, you’ll find acceptance in all areas of your life — a way to take the pain and the stress with the beauty and the joy, because that’s what life is, and only with a clear mind and a clean heart can you enjoy it to its fullest.
