Inpatient Alcoholism Treatment & Alcohol Rehab Lexington KY

Given how much Kentucky residents — and, by proxy, individuals who live in Lexington — love to drink, it's a good thing that there's a quality alcoholism treatment center near Lexington that can help those for whom it becomes a problem.

In 2018, Kentucky residents reported binge drinking at almost 40 percent higher than the national average, consuming roughly 652 drinks every year. Kentucky ranked third in the nation in the number of alcoholic beverages consumed by binge drinkers, which makes it no surprise that residents of Lexington, as well as other parts of the state, often find themselves in need of an alcohol rehab. At Cornerstone of Recovery, a straight shot down Interstate 75 in the suburbs of Knoxville, Tennessee, they've got one.

Since 1989, Cornerstone has helped alcoholics stop drinking, address the reasons that have contributed to their alcoholism and find long-term sobriety that allows them to return home with the peace of mind they so often seek in a bottle. We do it all from a four facility campus on 25 acres halfway between downtown Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where we moved in 2017 to become one of the largest alcoholism treatment providers in the state of Tennessee. And fortunately for those in Lexington who need it, we offer a full continuum of care that helps those individuals recover from a disease that claims roughly 88,000 lives annually, according to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

At Cornerstone, our treatment is built on the belief that sobriety isn't just about helping a patient stop drinking. We do that, of course, through our safe, medically supervised detox regimen, but in order to help them stay stopped, we transition them to one of our four residential alcoholism treatment programs that leaves no emotional, mental or spiritual stone unturned in our quest to give them to gift of sobriety. Our Newcomers Program provides an educational component to those facing their alcoholism for the first time; our Recovery Renewal Program is a deeper dive into the issues that stumbling blocks that have prevented those with previous alcoholism treatment experience or periods of abstinence from achieving long-term sobriety; our Young Adult Program takes into account the need for more active and engaging challenges for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Program is a sisterhood of female clients, therapists and counselors who work together to create a safe space for women to process issues and traumas unique to them.

From the exceptional food served in our dining hall to the comfortable and spacious rooms in our residence hall to our modern fitness facility, Cornerstone of Recovery is so much more than just another alcohol rehab. And because we're in network with most major private and commercial insurance plans, we're the ideal destination for individuals in or near Lexington who need the right alcoholism treatment program to get their lives back on track.

Three Reasons Why You Need to Call Today to Get Addiction and Alcoholism Treatment

  • We’re in the middle of great economic uncertainty. Unemployment rates reached their highest levels in history in April, which means COVID-19 took a catastrophic toll on the job market this spring. If you have a job — or even if you don’t, but you still have benefits provided by your previous place of employment — you’re fortunate. And you should take advantage of those benefits to get the help you need for a drug or alcohol problem today, because there’s no guarantee you’ll have the resources to do so down the road.

  • No one is truly certain what life in the time of coronavirus looks like going forward. Yes, there are still new cases being logged daily, and yes, it’s certainly a health concern for anyone and everyone. But if you’re struggling with addiction and alcoholism, you’re already sick — and the disease you’re battling is far more likely to claim your life than COVID-19. Overdose deaths kill more Americans annually than all combat deaths in the Vietnam War, and alcohol-related deaths claim 88,000 lives yearly. If you have an alcohol or drug problem, you’re more likely to become one of those statistics than a COVID-19 victim.

  • Putting it off for another day is no longer an option. You may tell yourself that it is … and you may have made it this far without treatment … but are you truly living? In our experience — and many of us who work at Cornerstone are in recovery ourselves — suffering from addiction and alcoholism is just existing. Our problems slowly get worse, our health slowly declines and we’re stuck in wreckage of our own making, until we’re faced with two choices: get help, or lose everything. Why wait until the latter when with a simple phone call, you can choose the former?

Cornerstone of Recovery is a comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment center founded by an alcoholic who believed that sobriety is an attainable goal for anyone who suffers. From our humble beginnings as an 18-bed facility in a strip mall outside of Knoxville, Tenn., we've stoked those fires of hope to become one of the largest residential treatment providers in Tennessee, now located on a 25-acre, four-facility campus.

For those seeking addiction treatment for drugs and alcohol, we offer a full spectrum of care, from safe, medically supervised detox to residential inpatient to outpatient rehab, during which patients come to understand the nature of their disease as well as the internal damage to the body, mind and spirit that it's caused. We employ a wide variety of therapeutic tools, from Activity Therapy to Fitness to peer support groups to one-on-one counseling, all designed to give our patients the hope of long-term sobriety once they return home to Lexington.

What Does Alcoholism Treatment Involve?

In selecting a treatment center that best meets your needs, it's important to understand that sobriety isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to alcoholism. The needs of our patient population is as varied as the backgrounds from which they come, which is why we've created four unique treatment programs under the Cornerstone banner:

Newcomers Inpatient Program

Those who are facing up to their alcoholism for the first time are often overwhelmed by feelings of guilt, confusion and bewilderment. In our Newcomers Alcoholism Treatment Program, our mission is to reassure them that they're not "bad" people who need to be "good" — they're sick people who need to get better, and during their 28 to 35 days with us, they'll learn more about their affliction and how best to overcome it.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Nothing is more demoralizing than a relapse. Those who have previous been to an alcohol rehab or who have enjoyed some periods of sobriety often find it extremely difficult to get back on track after picking up alcohol again. Our Recovery Renewal Alcoholism Treatment Program helps them get into the issues they may have overlooked or ignored the first time around, so that permanent sobriety becomes a reality instead of the unobtainable goal that shame convinces them it is.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

Young men ages 18 to 26 often start drinking before they're old enough to vote, drive or even get a job. As a result, their lives are derailed before they truly begin, but in our Young Adult Alcoholism Treatment Program, they have an opportunity to get back on track. It's a more active and vibrant program that also includes a vocational component, so that they can begin to consider their futures while building a foundation of sobriety.

Women Only Inpatient Program

Women who turn to alcohol as a coping mechanism often face different issues than their male counterparts. Trauma can be a driving force in the drinking problems of many women, and in our Women's Only Alcoholism Treatment Program, we've built a safe community of females, led by other females, that gives them the space and tools they need to overcome their alcoholism, rediscover their true selves and return home as the strong women we know them to be.

Within those programs, some patients with certain vocational concerns might receive additional therapy to deal with issues posed by their careers. Our Professionals Program caters to a number of clients whose professional licenses might be in jeopardy, and our rehab facility is one of the few in the country that specializes in treating a number of transportation industry employees. That said, we accept anyone with a desire to stop drinking, because we believe anyone with the willingness can achieve sobriety.

Does Cornerstone Accept My Health Insurance?

If you're seeking alcoholism treatment near Lexington and are considering Cornerstone of Recovery, you're probably wondering: How do I pay for it?

At Cornerstone, we can help you make private pay arrangements and offer financial guidance on the best way to take advantage of the drug and alcohol treatment that we offer. However, if you have commercial health insurance, you likely have access to behavioral health benefits that will pay for some, if not most, of the cost. Health insurance providers are required by federal law to offer mental health and substance abuse coverage on par with medical coverage, and if you're unsure whether your insurance does or how to initiate that process, call us. Our trained and compassionate Admissions counselors will assist you in finding out those answers. Some of the insurance plans within which we're in network include:

It's a thing called hope, and we've been offering it for three decades in the form of a time-tested way to reclaim your future from the despair of alcoholism. Don't hesitate to call us today.
