Inpatient Alcoholism Treatment & Alcohol Rehab Lexington KY

Given how much Kentucky residents — and, by proxy, individuals who live in Lexington — love to drink, it's a good thing that there's a quality alcoholism treatment center near Lexington that can help those for whom it becomes a problem.

In 2018, Kentucky residents reported binge drinking at almost 40 percent higher than the national average, consuming roughly 652 drinks every year. Kentucky ranked third in the nation in the number of alcoholic beverages consumed by binge drinkers, which makes it no surprise that residents of Lexington, as well as other parts of the state, often find themselves in need of an alcohol rehab. At Cornerstone of Recovery, a straight shot down Interstate 75 in the suburbs of Knoxville, Tennessee, they've got one.

Since 1989, Cornerstone has helped alcoholics stop drinking, address the reasons that have contributed to their alcoholism and find long-term sobriety that allows them to return home with the peace of mind they so often seek in a bottle. We do it all from a four facility campus on 25 acres halfway between downtown Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where we moved in 2017 to become one of the largest alcoholism treatment providers in the state of Tennessee. And fortunately for those in Lexington who need it, we offer a full continuum of care that helps those individuals recover from a disease that claims roughly 88,000 lives annually, according to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

At Cornerstone, our treatment is built on the belief that sobriety isn't just about helping a patient stop drinking. We do that, of course, through our safe, medically supervised detox regimen, but in order to help them stay stopped, we transition them to one of our four residential alcoholism treatment programs that leaves no emotional, mental or spiritual stone unturned in our quest to give them to gift of sobriety. Our Newcomers Program provides an educational component to those facing their alcoholism for the first time; our Recovery Renewal Program is a deeper dive into the issues that stumbling blocks that have prevented those with previous alcoholism treatment experience or periods of abstinence from achieving long-term sobriety; our Young Adult Program takes into account the need for more active and engaging challenges for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Program is a sisterhood of female clients, therapists and counselors who work together to create a safe space for women to process issues and traumas unique to them.

From the exceptional food served in our dining hall to the comfortable and spacious rooms in our residence hall to our modern fitness facility, Cornerstone of Recovery is so much more than just another alcohol rehab. And because we're in network with most major private and commercial insurance plans, we're the ideal destination for individuals in or near Lexington who need the right alcoholism treatment program to get their lives back on track.

I have worked at Cornerstone for over 15 years and I believe we are the best treatment center in Tennessee and probably better than 90% of centers across the country. We've grown from a tiny strip mall to our new multi-million dollar campus and a large staff and I am proud to work with everyone. What our patients tell me is that the staff is friendly, caring, and professional. I hear few complaints about staff and many more complements. The therapists and counselors are among the best I've worked with. If you want to get sober, this is the place to do it.

Would absolutely recommend Cornerstone to anyone looking for a second chance at life! I was in the inpatient program for four months. During that time I received top notch care from the entire staff. The nurses, counselors and psychiatry teams were very caring and professional. The trauma therapy I received there was life changing. Five stars!

A very good experience for me, I learned a great deal, not only about staying sober, but being happy, healthy and being mindful about how to deal with everyday challenges. Cornerstone has a great fitness program, healthy living environment, and the staff always treated me with respect and they are professionals at what they do. I’m coming up one one year of sobriety and I’m grateful for the direction and the tools I’ve received from this facility.

Our family is forever grateful to Cornerstone and its wonderful staff!!! When my husband checked in for treatment, our family life was in shambles. Cornerstone not only helped my husband get sober (and stay sober!), the staff also worked closely with me and my daughters during his treatment and facilitated an amazing family weekend/workshop that helped us deal with resentments and move into a better life for all of us!

Cornerstone of Recovery is a comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment center founded by an alcoholic who believed that sobriety is an attainable goal for anyone who suffers. From our humble beginnings as an 18-bed facility in a strip mall outside of Knoxville, Tenn., we've stoked those fires of hope to become one of the largest residential treatment providers in Tennessee, now located on a 25-acre, four-facility campus.

For those seeking addiction treatment for drugs and alcohol, we offer a full spectrum of care, from safe, medically supervised detox to residential inpatient to outpatient rehab, during which patients come to understand the nature of their disease as well as the internal damage to the body, mind and spirit that it's caused. We employ a wide variety of therapeutic tools, from Activity Therapy to Fitness to peer support groups to one-on-one counseling, all designed to give our patients the hope of long-term sobriety once they return home to Lexington.

Alcoholism & Drug Addiction Treatment Programs

Cornerstone has developed alcohol and drug rehab & recovery programs to fit the needs of our patients. As with many things in life, there is not a one size fits all approach to treating the addiction disease. Through a proper assessment and evaluation period, Cornerstone of Recovery can make the best recommendation for each individual that will give them the best opportunity to achieve a lasting recovery.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

Clinically, the Newcomers Residential Alcohol & Drug Rehab Program is inpatient based and typically lasts between 28 and 35 days, during which time our trained counselors and other professionals develop individual treatment plans for each patient according to needs, backgrounds and situations. During that process, patients participate in a 12-Step recovery.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

Our Young Adult Residential rehab and recovery program is specifically structured for persons between the ages of 18 and 26. Understanding that this age group faces its own unique set of circumstances, our clinical staff focuses on developmental issues, behavior styles, and energy levels specific to the young adult.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Intensive residential inpatient program for those who have tried to stay clean in the past but been unsuccessful, even after exposure to an addiction treatment program and 12 step programs in the past. It’s designed to help patients target the triggers and issues that factor into their inability to stay clean and the factors that lead to a relapse

Women Only Inpatient Program

Cornerstone recognizes that women face issues in addiction and alcoholism that are unique to them. Clinically, the Womens' Programs is inpatient based and typically lasts between 28 and 35 days, during which time therapies are carried out within the safe space of a women’s only program. Group therapy, individual counseling, activity therapy, acceptance/integration therapy – they’re all designed for both the individual and the gender.
