Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Center Atlanta GA
Cornerstone Is An In-Network Provider With Most Insurance Companies
We also offer financing & private pay options.
How pressing is the need for Atlanta residents to have access to quality addiction treatment? Consider this: The rate of opioid-related overdose deaths in metro Atlanta has nearly doubled since 2013 and more than tripled since 2006, according to a 2018 analysis by the Atlanta Regional Commission. Those numbers parallel the ongoing nationwide addiction crisis, which saw more than 68,000 lives lost to overdose in 2018 alone.
Fortunately, there’s a nationally respected drug rehab only a few hours’ drive north of Atlanta, where thousands of individuals struggling with a drug problem have found comprehensive addiction treatment for more than three decades. At Cornerstone of Recovery, patients begin their journeys with safe, medically supervised detox from drugs before transitioning to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for those just starting out on their recovery journey; Recovery Renewal, for individuals with previous addiction treatment experience or periods of abstinence; Young Adult, for young men ages 18-26 that need a more engaging program; and our unique Women’s Program, designed to provide a gender-specific safe space for female clients.
In addition, we provide comprehensive family therapy that includes an entire weekend dedicated to interactive healing between patients and their family members, all of which helps address issues and problems that have arisen around addiction. Patients who struggle with co-occurring mental health issues like bipolar disorder, ADHD or anxiety will find the dual diagnosis care they need from our psychiatric team, and we offer a range of psychological therapies and tools that make Cornerstone so much more than just another drug rehab.
We do it all from a 25-acres, four-facility campus that opened in 2017, halfway between Knoxville, Tennessee, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From the residence hall that supports on-campus sober living for patients of all levels to a well-equipped fitness center that encourages active and healthy lifestyles, Cornerstone of Recovery provides the best opportunity for those who struggle with addiction to stop using, lose the desire to do so and find a new way to live.
We accept most major health insurance plans, and we’re always available to discuss your needs or provide you with more information. If you’re an Atlanta resident looking for addiction treatment, look a little farther to the north, and you’ll find one of the best at Cornerstone of Recovery.

What Does Treatment Involve?
Your treatment plan begins from the moment you pick up the phone and call our compassionate Admissions staff. We'll assess your needs and determine your level of care so that you receive comprehensive professional care in one of our treatment programs. All patients will go through a short period of Medical Detox, during which time around-the-clock staff members will administer comfort medication and ease your withdrawal symptoms. Afterward, you'll transition into one of our four programs:
Newcomers Inpatient Program
The Newcomers Residential Drug Rehab Program usually lasts from 28 to 35 days, during which time patients are immersed in an individual treatment plan that addresses their needs, backgrounds and situations. From 12 Step recovery to peer support to psychiatric care for dual diagnosis issues to a host of therapeutic modalities, it's a path for those dealing with addiction for the first time.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Addiction recovery is often not a "one and done" process. Sometimes, individuals with previous treatment experience or significant amounts of clean time can relapse, and that's where our Recovery Renewal Residential Inpatient Program can help. Through intense therapeutic work, it addresses the reasons those individuals have been unable to stay clean and helps them find healthy coping skills.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Young men between the ages of 18 and 26 often need an addiction treatment program to engage restless bodies and active minds. That's where our Young Adult Residential rehab and recovery program comes in. It's specifically designed to meet the challenges that this age group faces, and our clinical staff focuses on developmental issues, behavior styles and energy levels specific to the young adult.
Women Only Inpatient Program
While recovery is available to anyone, the individual paths to a new way of life on the other side of addiction are unique to the individual. Women, in particular, often face a number of issues and traumas unique to their gender. As part of our Women's Only Addiction Treatment Program, female patients will find a safe space to process their issues, bond with other women and find hope, healing and recovery from addiction.
In addition, treatment at Cornerstone includes the opportunity to enroll in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP); psychiatric services to evaluate underlying mental health conditions that can present as both addiction and co-occurring disorders; a Sober Living on-campus community for IOP patients and Partial Hospitalization Program clients; therapy weekends for family members of patients; and Medication Assisted Treatment in the form of Vivitrol.

What Happens Next?
It's not easy, admitting you have a problem. It's even more difficult to admit you need help to overcome that problem. Your addiction doesn't make you weak or a bad person, despite what you may have done to feed your habit. You're a sick person who needs to get well, not a bad person who needs to be good ... and we can help you do that.
At Cornerstone of Recovery, we know where you're at, because many of us were once in your shoes. Roughly 90 percent of our clinical staff are recovering addicts and alcoholics, as well as many of our administrative staff members. From the first phone call to your discharge date, you'll be surrounded by examples of what recovery can do to make your life better, because we want to share what was once shared with us.
We can't do that, however, unless you reach out. Pick up the phone and call today, and let's get you started on your recovery journey.
