YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED

FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS....

In September 1989, William J.
"Bill" Hood took everything he
owned and opened a drug and
alcohol treatment center in a
suburban strip mall outside of
Knoxville, Tenn.

His peers in the treatment field
cautioned him against such a
venture, pointing to various
other facilities in the area that
were already meeting the
needs of addicts and
alcoholics.

Bill, however, was not deterred
— because however good
treatment was at other places,
what he had in mind was
something special.

Today, Cornerstone stands on
a 25-acre campus a stone's
throw from that modest facility
that Bill opened with 18 beds
and 22 staff members.

TO A PLACE OF HEALING...

We're one of the largest and
best drug and alcohol
treatment providers in the
nation, and almost 30 years to
the day of the launch of Bill's
dream, we'll gather together to
celebrate.

It's a birthday party, but it's
also a way to honor the man
who led the way and all those
who followed in his footsteps.
Our speaker will be Bill's son,
John Hood, and former CEO
and Board of Directors
Chairman Dan Caldwell will
serve as host and emcee.

We would like to invite you to
be a part of this special
evening. Because the need for
the hope we provide is still
great, and there are many of
you who, like us, believe
fervently in the things that Bill
did:

...HOPE IS STILL OUR COMMODITY

That anyone, given the right
spiritual and emotional tools,
along with a little bit of
knowledge, some personal
insight and a whole lot of love
and encouragement can stop
using and drinking ... lose the
desire to do so ... and find a
new way to live. That's been
our mission for 30 years, and
it'll be our mission for the next
30 and beyond.
