Alcoholism Treatment In Knoxville Accepting Tricare Health Insurance
American culture is awash in alcohol, and the U.S. military is no exception. Members of the military know how to work hard and play hard, but sometimes, alcohol becomes more than just a way to let off steam: It becomes a problem, and when it does, those individuals need access to the best alcoholism treatment center in Knoxville that accepts TriCare. Cornerstone of Recovery is that facility. For more than 30 years, we’ve helped thousands of alcoholics to stop drinking, address the reasons they drink and build new lives in sobriety, free from the consequences of an alcohol problem. On our 24-acre campus, located just 15 minutes from downtown and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains, we provide an unparalleled continuum of care for both veterans and active duty personnel seeking an inpatient alcohol rehab in Knoxville that accepts TriCare. Our services include medical detox, residential inpatient alcoholism treatment, intensive outpatient programming and a sober living community for those who need more time before they return to their lives outside of treatment. More importantly, we have on staff a dedicated member of our team who will help all TriCare policyholders activate their benefits before they even arrive, so that the hurdles of getting approval from the Department of Veterans Affairs to seek inpatient alcohol rehab at Cornerstone is only a phone call away.
How Does TriCare for Alcoholism & Addiction Treatment Work?
As a full-service health plan for active duty members of the United State military and/or their dependents, including the National Guard and former members who proudly wear the title of veteran, TriCare is something in which you’ve invested for years. When the time comes for you to draw on those benefits, you don’t think twice of you’re in need of medical attention. However, TriCare also covers treatment for alcoholism, including “ inpatient services; intensive outpatient programs; management of withdrawal symptoms (detoxification); medication assisted treatment; mental health therapeutic services; residential substance use disorder treatment”; and more. Cornerstone of Recovery is honored to be a facility that provides all of those services to those seeking an inpatient alcohol rehab in Knoxville. From your very initial contact with us, our team of Admissions counselors will put you in touch with the member of our staff who can help you navigate what’s required by both TriCare and the VA to get the help that you need.
Why Use Your TriCare Policy at Cornerstone?
Cornerstone of Recovery was established in 1989 by a recovering alcoholic who believed passionately in second chances, and from that initial bedrock of traditional, abstinence-based treatment methods, a robust and life-changing program was developed. Today, our accommodations resemble a college campus more than they do a medical facility, because knowledge is what we impart alongside therapy, and those who come to us for help with a drinking problem will learn from the moment they arrive that alcoholism isn’t a failure of willpower or a moral shortcoming — it’s a disease, recognized as such by science and medicine. As a result, we’ve developed a thorough biological, psychological and social treatment program that does more than help you stop drinking — it helps you look at the areas of your life that alcohol has impacted, the issues and traumas that may play a part in your drinking, and the future you want to create for yourself on the other side of your problem. From Fitness Therapy to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, from Activity Therapy to Schema Therapy, from group therapy to one-on-one counseling to family therapy to aftercare planning, we’ll address all the areas of your life that alcohol has damaged, and help you not only repair it, but find a way to live that you never thought possible.
Cornerstone of Recovery and veterans
Military culture often celebrates drinking, and it can be difficult for veteran patients to acknowledge that a substance so long a part of celebration has not become their biggest enemy. That may be due to a number of service-related factors, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other traumas experienced during the line of duty. We have psychotherapeutic processes like Cognitive Processing Therapy to address those issues, as well as specially trained trauma therapists on staff who work one on one with those patients. In addition, all of our veterans meet weekly in a combined group that’s led by a member of the Cornerstone staff who’s also a veteran, and these groups help examine the ways in which alcohol is inextricably tied to military culture, how it may have impacted your service or your life after the military, and areas of your training that you can draw upon as tools for sobriety.
At Cornerstone of Recovery, we recognize that military personnel and veterans seeking an addiction treatment center in Knoxville that accepts TriCare have given of themselves — physically, emotionally and mentally — in order to serve our country. Now, it’s our turn to serve them, and we strive to do so with the same distinction they exhibited when they wore the uniform. We’re grateful to be an inpatient alcohol rehab in Knoxville that accepts Tricare, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
What People Are Saying About Us
Alcoholism & Drug Addiction Treatment Programs
Cornerstone of Recovery is situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, and since 1989, we’ve helped those who suffer from addiction and alcoholism find a new way to live.
As one of the nation’s most respected substance abuse treatment centers – as well as the largest residential treatment center in the state of Tennessee – we provide patients with a broad array of recovery tools, from medically assisted detox services that help addicted patients safely withdraw from any and all drugs to models of treatment based in both science and tradition. From scientifically proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Schema Therapy to 12 Step based therapy with a group of peers, our residential/inpatient programs are tailored to an individual’s specific needs. Our treatment paths meet patients wherever they are, from first-time treatment seekers to those who have been through the process before to a host of career-specific professional programs:
Newcomers Inpatient Program
Clinically, the Newcomers Residential Alcohol & Drug Rehab Program is inpatient based and typically lasts between 28 and 35 days, during which time our trained counselors and other professionals develop individual treatment plans for each patient according to needs, backgrounds and situations. During that process, patients participate in a 12-Step recovery.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Our Young Adult Residential rehab and recovery program is specifically structured for persons between the ages of 18 and 26. Understanding that this age group faces its own unique set of circumstances, our clinical staff focuses on developmental issues, behavior styles, and energy levels specific to the young adult.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Intensive residential inpatient program for those who have tried to stay clean in the past but been unsuccessful, even after exposure to an addiction treatment program and 12 step programs in the past. It’s designed to help patients target the triggers and issues that factor into their inability to stay clean and the factors that lead to a relapse
Women Only Inpatient Program
Cornerstone recognizes that women face issues in addiction and alcoholism that are unique to them. Clinically, the Womens' Programs is inpatient based and typically lasts between 28 and 35 days, during which time therapies are carried out within the safe space of a women’s only program. Group therapy, individual counseling, activity therapy, acceptance/integration therapy – they’re all designed for both the individual and the gender.
