Inpatient Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Center Raleigh NC
It's been two years since the Raleigh, North Carolina, newspaper of record ran a story titled "North Carolina in top 20 states 'with the biggest drug problems,'" and that problem is still a big one.
It's also not limited to the hot-button drug making headlines across the nation. According to the N.C. state medical examiner, opioid-related deaths in North Carolina increased by 25 percent from 2017 over 2016. At the same time, meth-related overdoses grew by nearly 47 percent. Addiction in Raleigh, N.C., and throughout the state isn't limited to a particular substance, and at Cornerstone of Recovery, we recognize that treating the underlying condition is imperative if those afflicted are to find a new way to live.
For 30 years, Cornerstone has provided substance abuse treatment to addicts and alcoholics who suffer from a disease recognized by major health organizations and medical professionals around the world. We're a half-day's drive from Raleigh, N.C., on the other side of the Great Smoky Mountains, where our recovery center is located on a picturesque four-building campus at which our patients can begin their lives anew. At Cornerstone, our goal is to teach you about the disease from which you suffer, address a myriad of underlying issues that are at its core and provide you with new coping mechanisms so that when you return home to Raleigh, you can deal with the wreckage of your past and build a future brighter and better than you ever imagined.
the first step to the rest of your life starts at cornerstone of recovery
As one of the nation's premier addiction treatment centers, Cornerstone of Recovery traces its origins to the organization's founder, a successful business executive who lost everything because of his alcoholism. After a final stint in alcohol rehab, he found the spark that so often eludes those who similarly suffer; through traditional abstinence-based recovery methods and evidence-based psycho-therapeutic tools, he came to believe that addicts and alcoholics around the Southeast needed an oasis of renewal where they would be able to stop using, lose the desire to do so and return home as responsible, productive and contented members of society.
Cornerstone began in 1989 in a small strip mall located just outside of Knoxville, Tenn., and over the next three decades has grown into one of the largest residential drug and alcohol treatment providers in the state. Today, on a new four-building campus along the banks of a tributary of the Tennessee River, we provide the same tools our founder used to recover, along with a host of clinical therapies and other tools that are all designed for a singular purpose: to give hope to those who need it most.
What Does Treatment Involve?
At Cornerstone of Recovery, we’ll help you remove that suit and find the true self you’ve kept hidden under a blanket of drugs for so long. And by leaving Raleigh for a temporary respite in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, you’ll do so in a new environment, free of distractions from the place you spent so much time getting high and away from the people who are so closely associated with your addiction. Here, you’ll join a group of peers in one of our four primary programs:
While our residential treatment programs make up part of our treatment services, we also offer safe, medically supervised detox for any and all drugs and alcohol; Support Living facilities on campus where patients live during the duration of their stay; and outpatient treatment in the form of our Intensive Outpatient program, a 10-week course into which patients transition that gives them another layer of safety and security before they return home.
Does Cornerstone Accept My Health Insurance?
Rehab programs, of course, require money, and Cornerstone of Recovery is no different. However, we understand that a great many addicts have little in the way of funds to provide for addiction treatment. However, your commercial health insurance may very well provide substance abuse treatment benefits of which you're not aware.
The first step toward determining what coverage, if any, your health insurance plan provides is by calling us. Our trained, professional Admissions staff members will talk you through the process, gather your information and help determine the extent of your coverage, as well as any up-front costs that may be required through deductibles. We can help you arrange for payment plans and even refer you to other treatment providers if we're unable to provide you with the help that you need.
Fortunately, we're in network with most major insurance providers, including:
ValueOptions/Beacon Health Options
If your insurance plan isn't on this list, don't despair. We can still examine your coverage and determine the best course of action for the help that you need. The biggest hurdle you face is that initial phone call, and we understand all too well how fearful that can be. We understand because many of us were once in your shoes: roughly 90 percent of our clinical staff, and as much as 60 percent of our administrative personnel, are in recovery themselves.
What Happens Next?
Once you make that initial phone call, it's all downhill from there. By involving us in the process, we'll pour over your insurance benefits and determine exactly what's needed to get you in the door. We'll help you figure out the best way and time to arrive, and we'll be waiting to get you checked in and over to Assessment and Orientation, the first stop of your stay with us where we put together a treatment plan, complete your paperwork and get you over to Medical Detox as quickly as possible. After we help wean you from the substances with which you struggle, you'll move into the treatment phase and begin to address why you struggle with them.
The goal, of course, isn't to give you your old life back. As we continually advocate, recovery is about the discovery of a new life: not only free from drugs and alcohol, but from the issues that have been a part of your emotional core for years. Only by addressing what's wrong on the inside can you return to Raleigh and begin to repair what's happened on the outside, and with a firm foundation built at Cornerstone of Recovery, you'll be able to find success, joy and happiness for decades to come.
Why Consider Leaving Raleigh For Treatment
There are, of course, dozens of treatment options in the Raleigh area, but there are few that offer both the amenities and the quality of care that Cornerstone of Recovery does. At our rehab facility, you'll not only focus on understanding and using new coping skills to overcome your drug addiction, you'll also be a part of our "whole person" approach to drug and alcohol addictions.
From the day you arrive, we'll work with you to come up with an individualized treatment plans to examines your needs and areas of concern, so that even after transitioning from detox to one of our four residential inpatient programs, you'll receive highly specialized counseling, therapy and education to work on the reasons you continue to return to drugs even in the face of negative consequences. While we help you heal your mind, we'll also occupy your body and engage your spirit through Activity Therapy, our Fitness Program and an introduction to the wider world of recovery outside of the confines of a rehab center.
Your time away from Raleigh will provide you the respite you need to clear your head and work on yourself, so that when you return home, you'll be better equipped to live a life free of alcohol and drugs.
