Inpatient Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Charlotte NC
There are more than a dozen substance abuse and mental health treatment facilities in the Charlotte, N.C., area, but none quite like one located four hours to the west.
Cornerstone of Recovery is a drug and alcohol treatment center near Knoxville, Tenn., that has been providing recovery for drug and alcohol addictions since 1989. We were founded by a recovering alcoholic, and today we remain one of the best addiction treatment centers in the nation, having helped thousands of addicts and alcoholics find long-term health, happiness and peace of mind on the other side of misery.
From our humble origins as a small facility with 18 beds and 22 staff members in a rural strip mall, we've grown to occupy a 25-acre campus along the banks of the Little River with four main buildings, including a residence tower, a treatment compound, a fitness center and a facility in which we hold Intensive Outpatient classes as well as therapy groups on specific weekends for friends and family members. Our whole-person approach to addiction treatment is based on a combination of traditional 12 Step recovery and evidence-based psycho-therapeutic tools utilized by trained clinicians and therapists, and from the moment patients set foot on campus, our goal is to guide them toward a single outcome: Recovery from addiction that they can take with them when they return to Charlotte, where they can move on with their lives free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol.
the first step to the rest of your life starts at cornerstone of recovery
Cornerstone of Recovery is roughly 230 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina, but sometimes a distance of hours and miles makes all the difference in the world for those requiring treatment for drug addiction. With a nationwide reputation for as one of the top rehab centers in the country, begin each patient's journey with an individualized treatment plan that identifies their specific needs.
Our goal is to treat the underlying physical, mental, emotional and spiritual maladies that contribute to, precipitate and were caused by addiction, because if recovery were simply a matter of putting down the drugs and walking away, our services would be unnecessary. Addiction, however, is a disease, and those who suffer from it continue to use in spite of negative consequences.
At Cornerstone, wherever you fall on the scale, we have a program to meet your needs, and treatment services and therapies that will help address the life traps and stumbling blocks that have kept you in a vicious cycle of drug use for so long.
Inpatient Drug Rehab Programs Available
After an initial intake by our Assessment and Orientation team, during which time patients will determine the program focuses needed for successful completion of treatment, clients transition quickly into medical detox, where they're safely weaned from the drugs in their system through a combination of medication therapy, rest and minimal stress. Detox usually lasts three to five days, during which time patients are kept as comfortable as possible, followed by entry into one of our four primary treatment programs:
Newcomers, the program for all patients who have little to no exposure to the disease concept and require an education about the disease that plagues them as much as they do ways to keep it in check
Young Adult, for men ages 18 to 26 need both education, structure, vocational training and more robust hands-on therapy through activities like our ropes course or fitness routines
Recovery Renewal is specifically designed for those with prior addiction treatment experience who have been unable to maintain long-term recovery outside of a therapeutic environment and need to work on some deeper emotional issues
Women's Only, an exclusive female program in which women find a safe and supportive sisterhood in which to process traumas and events surrounding addiction that are unique to their gender.
After residential inpatient treatment, patients have the opportunity to transition into our Intensive Outpatient treatment program, a four-day-a-week, three-hours-a-day continuing program of therapy that adds another layer to the safety net of recovery. As part of IOP, they reside in one of our Support Living facilities, attend classes and group on campus each day and slowly earn privileges like cell phones and vehicles as their work progresses and their recovery grows.
