Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts United Healthcare Nashville TN Area
If you're struggling with a drug and alcohol problem, you'll find plenty of opportunities for treatment in the Nashville area ... but one of the best options lies three hours to the east, near Knoxville, Tennessee.
Cornerstone of Recovery has helped thousands of addicts and alcoholics, including many from the Nashville area, get clean and sober for more than 30 years. The quality of the addiction and alcoholism treatment we provide has earned us a reputation as one of the best treatment providers in the nation, and as such, we're in network with most major commercial and private insurance plans — including UnitedHealthcare. Those who live in or near Nashville with a United Healthcare plan can come to treatment at Cornerstone, stop using and drinking, find a new way to live and return home as responsible, productive members of society.
At Cornerstone, our keen understanding of addiction and alcoholism is drawn from both evidence-based psychotherapies — such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance And Integration Training and more — in addition to the traditional 12 Step-based model of treatment that's provided hope for struggling addicts and alcoholics for almost a century. Our program combines both approaches and uses the talents of licensed, credentialed, master's level clinicians and therapists with recovering addicts and alcoholics drawn from the East Tennessee recovery community, who bring their real world experiences to the table to give our clients the empathy and understanding they need to realize that they're not "bad" people who need to be "good" — they're sick people who need to get better.
At Cornerstone, that begins with a 3- to 5-day stay in Medical Detox, where we'll help them safely and comfortably wean off of the drugs and alcohol that have done so much damage. Afterward, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, Recovery Renewal, Young Adult or Women's Only, in which they'll take part in peer support groups, educational lectures, one-on-one counseling, therapy and more. We'll help rehabilitate their bodies in our on-campus, state-of-the-art fitness center; we'll assess their dual diagnosis needs with the help of our psychiatric team; we'll bring their loved ones into the treatment process through our family therapy program. We do it all from a campus on 25 acres, which opened in 2017 and includes everything to meet the treatment goals of a Nashville resident who needs to leave Davidson County for a while in order to get better. If you're in network with UHC, you can do that at Cornerstone.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
Your recovery journey begins with the initial phone call you make to Cornerstone of Recovery, when our compassionate and caring Admissions staff will assess your treatment needs and help you navigate the complexities of your UnitedHealthcare insurance plan. We'll make arrangements for you to come to Cornerstone from Nashville, and we'll prepare you for everything you need to know before you arrive. Once you're here, we'll set you up with an individualized treatment plan that best fits your particular issues, traumas and problems, and we'll help you understand that recovery is about so much more than just putting down the alcohol and drugs. It's about change, and the end goal isn't to help you get your life back. If you're like us, the "lives" we had in our addiction and alcoholism weren't much to speak of anyway. What we do at Cornerstone is help you discover a whole new way to live.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
Addiction and alcoholism are diseases, recognized as such by the medical and scientific community. Addicts and alcoholics coming to grips with the extent of their illness, however, often feel a deep sense of remorse or embarrassment for their suffering. In our Newcomers Program, we teach them that they're sick, that a better way of life exists, and that a future as a recovering addict or alcoholic is a badge of honor, not a mark of shame.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Individuals who suffer from a relapse often feel that the recovery process is pointless. Those who have been to drug and alcohol rehab in the past, or who have enjoyed periods of abstinence only to relapse, aren't failures. They're not irreparably broken. They simply need a little more love, a little more kindness and a little more push to do some deeper work on themselves and their issues, and that's exactly what they'll get in our Recovery Renewal Program.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
For young men who cross the threshold from experimentation to problem drinking or drug use, putting on the brakes can be challenging. Where is the line drawn? How do they restore their lives to some semblance of sanity? What does the future look like without drugs and alcohol? Our Young Adult Program, designed for men ages 18 to 26, will help them answer those questions along the way toward a foundation of permanent sobriety.
Women Only Inpatient Program
When we moved to our new campus in 2017, we took advantage of the restructuring to develop our unique Women's Only Program, designed as a specific treatment track for females who seek help for addiction and alcoholism at Cornerstone of Recovery. In the years since, we've found that it's become one of our most powerful programs we have, one that takes damaged and broken women, restores them to health and sanity and returns them to society whole, healthy and confident.
After completing residential inpatient treatment, patients who come to Cornerstone of Recovery from Nashville have a decision to make: Is it time to return home to Davidson County, or should they extend their stay through our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)? IOP — which in many cases is covered by your UnitedHealthcare insurance policy — allows you to continue classes and therapy sessions for several hours a day, while at the same time exploring the independence provided via our Sober Living program. You'll remain part of the Cornerstone community, accountable to staff and peers, but you'll begin to earn greater freedoms, opportunities for employment and a chance to get involved in the local community on a volunteer basis. It's a great way to get your sober "sea legs" under you before you decide you're ready to face the "real world." Our goal, in everything we do, is to make sure that when that time comes, you're ready to stay clean and sober for good.
