Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Humana Lexington KY
If you're struggling with drugs and alcohol, and you could change your life by driving 2 hours and 40 minutes down Interstate 75, would you do it?
The answer, for anyone seeking a drug and alcohol treatment center that offers a new way of life for individuals who live in Lexington, should be an unequivocal "yes." And if those individuals happen to have private or commercial health insurance through Humana, then their destination should be Cornerstone of Recovery, located near Knoxville, Tennessee.
Cornerstone first opened its doors in 1989 as a small drug and alcohol rehab driven by the vision of our founder, himself a recovering alcoholic: that anyone, with the proper therapy, education, encouragement, kindness and understanding, stop using the substances that have caused them so much pain and find a new way to live. Over the past three decades, we've helped thousands of addicts and alcoholics, including many from the Lexington area, discover a new way to live, and as we've grown, so has our reputation. Today, we're regarded as one of the most respected drug and alcohol treatment centers in the nation, and most major commercial and private insurance providers, including Humana, are in network with us to provide their policyholders with the treatment they need.
That treatment begins with safe, medically supervised detox from drugs and alcohol, a 3- to 5-day beginning that helps our patients comfortably wean themselves from drugs and alcohol. Afterward, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs, which typically last from 28 to 35 days: Newcomers, for individuals new to the recovery process; Recovery Renewal, designed to help individuals who have been to treatment in the past put a stop to the revolving door of relapse; Young Adult, a more robust program for 18- to 26-year-old men; and Women's Only, a safe and uplifting group for all female patients. While each program is unique, there are some commonalities: 12 Step facilitation, one-on-one counseling, peer support groups and education therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma therapy and more.
Each patient will have input into designing an individualized treatment plan that best meets his or her needs, but our services are available to all: psychiatric evaluation and dual diagnosis treatment for those with co-occurring mental health issues; family therapy, for those who want to mend relationships with loved ones; fitness therapy, in our state-of-the-art on-campus fitness center; and comprehensive aftercare planning to help arrange for a plan that allows each patient to stay sober and return to Lexington as a responsible, productive member of society. We do it all from a campus to which we moved in 2017, just 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you have a Humana plan and need to change your life, there's no better addiction and alcoholism treatment available than that at Cornerstone of Recovery.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
In addiction recovery, there's a saying: "The therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel." Our founder knew that and wanted to use his experience recovering from alcoholism to help others get sober. Today, the majority of our clinical staff — from the licensed and credentialed therapists to program counselors — is drawn from the local recovery community, and many of those who are recovering from addiction and alcoholism themselves were once patients right here at Cornerstone. Their experience, strength and hope provides a unique understanding that allows them to help patients who come to us from Lexington with Humana insurance find acceptance, encourage and the strength to get clean and sober themselves through one of our four treatment programs.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
In the Newcomers Program, patients who are coming to terms with their addiction or alcoholism for the first time will receive a combination of education and therapy. The former will teach them that they suffer from a medically recognized disease, not a failure of will or morals. The latter will help them address traumas, coping skills and other impediments to sobriety, so that they can find success and happiness on the other side of drugs and alcohol.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Those who go through treatment, or take part in a recovery program, only to fall victim to relapse often feel disheartened and defeated. Our Recovery Renewal Program is a hand up: a way to help them back on their feet, accompany them through the difficulty of addressing previously unacknowledged issues and traumas and steer them toward a life on the other side of drugs and alcohol. For those who have been unable to stay sober, it's a life-changing journey.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Addiction and alcoholism aren't the sole domain of older people. Many young men, ages 18 to 26, fall victim to these illnesses early on, and their lives are often derailed before they truly begin. In our Young Adult Program, we help them back on their feet through more active programming and therapy, and we use vocational therapy to assist them in an examination of their future, so they can see a life that's successful and prosperous without having to use drugs and alcohol for it to be so.
Women Only Inpatient Program
In early recovery, it's never easy to unpack and take a closer look at trauma. For women, it's even more difficult to do so in co-educational recovery programs. That's why our unique Women's Only Program is designed to give female patients a safe space, to address the issues that can be complicated by the presence of guys. It's a sisterhood of empowerment, and for women needing help for addiction and alcoholism, it can be a transformational experience.
Residential treatment is just the first step on a lifelong recovery journey. After completion, patients who come to us from Lexington to use their Humana insurance may feel ready to return home to Kentucky ... or they may desire to get more out of their drug and alcohol treatment experience. That's where our Intensive Outpatient Program can be beneficial: It's an eight-week extension of the treatment safety net, designed to offer residents of our Sober Living community additional therapeutic and processing groups while they slowly transition back to "normal" life. There are job and volunteer opportunities alongside continued therapy for those who aren't quite ready to return home, so that when the time comes for them to do so, they're better prepared to live life on life's terms — clean, sober and whole.
