Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Louisville Kentucky
Residents of Louisville seeking to put their BlueCross BlueShield health insurance policy to work in getting them the best drug and alcohol treatment available are in luck: Cornerstone of Recovery, located near Knoxville, Tennessee, is in network with commercial and private BlueCross BlueShield plans held by many Louisville residents, and for the past three decades, we've helped thousands of addicts and alcoholics — including many from Kentucky — stop using drugs and alcohol, lose the desire to do so and find a new way to live.
All three of those things are essential components to addiction and alcoholism recovery, and at Cornerstone of Recovery, we recognize that individuals who live in or near Louisville looking for a drug and alcohol rehab need something more than just abstinence. After all, if stopping was the solution, then thousands of individuals who suffer from addiction and alcoholism could quit using and drinking before negative consequences robbed them of jobs, of relationships, of families and of their lives. Addiction, unfortunately, is a disease recognized as such by the medical and scientific community, and it's why insurance companies like Kentucky BlueCross BlueShield provide coverage for drug and alcohol treatment — so that those who suffer can seek treatment at a facility that recognizes them for what they are: sick people who need to get better, not bad people who need to be good.
Since 1989, Cornerstone of Recovery has provided hope, healing and recovery to addicts and alcoholics from across the country, including many from the Louisville area. We started small, and while we've grown into a four-facility operation on a 25-acre campus 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, we remain committed to the original vision set forth by our founders: that traditional 12 Step recovery, which has worked for nearly a century in recovery programs around the world, can be augmented with evidence-based psychotherapies and treatment modalities to give individuals who suffer the best opportunity at long-lasting sobriety. It all begins in our Medical Detox program, a 3- to 5-day stay that helps patients, slowly, safely and comfortably wean themselves off of drugs and alcohol, and it continues in one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, Recovery Renewal, Young Adult and our Women's Only Program.
During their stay, patients will be exposed to a number of treatment modalities, from peer support groups to one-on-one counseling to educational lectures and sessions on tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Family therapy will be offered to patients whose loved ones want to be a part of the healing process, and our trained trauma therapists can help individuals overcome past emotional injuries. We'll help heal the body in our state-of-the-art fitness center, and we'll work on the mind through the dual diagnosis treatment our psychiatric team provides to those patients with co-occurring mental health disorders.
Whatever you seek in an drug and alcohol rehab, Cornerstone of Recovery has it. We're close enough to Louisville that you can be here within a few hours, but far enough away that you can get away from the temptations and triggers of home. And because we're in network with BlueCross BlueShield, we can help you navigate the intricacies of your commercial or private insurance plan to get you started on your recovery journey today.
Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery
What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
At Cornerstone of Recovery, we've grown tremendously since we first opened in 1989. Back then, we had 18 beds, 22 staff members and operated out of a strip mall on the outskirts of Knoxville, Tennessee. Today, with 172 beds and more than 250 staff members, we're one of the largest residential treatment providers in Tennessee, treating residents of our state and plenty from Kentucky — including the Louisville area. We've enjoyed a long relationship with BlueCross BlueShield since our early years, when BCBS recognized that the drug and alcohol treatment we provide is unparalleled. Like its sister plans in other states, Kentucky BlueCross BlueShield doesn't hesitate to recommend its policyholders seek addiction and alcoholism treatment at Cornerstone because they know exactly what their customers will get at Cornerstone: a way to stop using, lose the desire to do so and find a new way to live.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
In our Newcomers Residential Inpatient Program, those who have no previous exposure to addiction treatment or recovery need to learn what they're up against before they can learn how to best heal from it. We provide an educational components to these newcomers, so that they learn more about the disease concept as well as the various recovery approaches to keep it at bay and live a responsible, productive life without the use of drugs and alcohol.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Individuals who complete treatment at a drug and alcohol rehab but don't commit to that new way of life often have a rough go of it. Recovery involves more than just a trip through a treatment center; it involves adapting and learning to use new coping skills and sobriety tools to replace old ones that have been reinforced by years of behavior. Our Recovery Renewal Program takes those who might have relapsed and helps them redouble their efforts to get better.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
For men ages 18 to 26, recovery is certainly possible ... but it's definitely more palatable when they're able to pursue it alongside peers their own age, which they can do in our Young Adult Program. It's designed as a treatment track with a more active component for younger bodies and restless minds, and it also includes a vocational component that helps young adults begin to think about life and a career path outside of treatment, without the baggage of addiction or alcoholism.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Female patients at Cornerstone of Recovery are grouped together into a single Women's Only Program for a number of reasons: One, it's easier for them to process some of the issues, traumas and problems of their addiction and alcoholism without the interference of a masculine presence that might serve as a trigger; and two, there's nothing more powerful or moving than witnessing a group of women find healing together and become a sisterhood of supportive peers.
After residential inpatient treatment, patients who live in our near Louisville then have several options. They can return home, of course, and we'll help them set up aftercare plans for their discharge — including working to make follow-up appointments with physicians and therapists who are in network with BlueCross BlueShield, as we are. But we'll also give them the opportunity to stick around a bit longer and attend additional therapy in our Intensive Outpatient Program, which is an extension of the Cornerstone safety net that broadens the base of their recovery and gives them an opportunity to strengthen their program before leaving East Tennessee having successfully completed drug and alcohol treatment at Cornerstone.
