Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Lexington Kentucky

alcohol drug rehab takes blue cross blue shield lexington kyFor residents of Lexington with a commercial or private BlueCross BlueShield insurance plan, there's a drug and alcohol treatment facility a couple of hours away that offers some of the best treatment services in the nation.

Those who live in or near Lexington will likely use the medical benefits of their Kentucky BlueCross BlueShield plans far more than their behavioral health ones, but knowing those benefits exist, and can provide coverage for those seeking help for a drug and alcohol problem, is always a comfort. And knowing that there's a facility in Knoxville, Tennessee, that's in network with BlueCross BlueShield policyholders who live in the Lexington area ... one that's helped thousands of addicts and alcoholics from across the country get clean and sober and stay that way for more than 30 years ... should also be a comfort.

Cornerstone of Recovery opened as a humble, 18-bed facility in 1989, founded by a recovering alcoholic with a burning desire to help others find the new way of life that had done so much for him. When we moved to our new, 25-acre campus in 2017, we began operating out of four facilities that contained 172 beds and more than 250 employees — a far cry from our early days, but with the same dedication to recovering principles that have served us so well over the years. While our bedrock treatment philosophy is built on the 12 Steps of most addiction recovery programs, we've grown to include a broad array of evidence-based therapies that work toward a singular goal: helping those who suffer not only stop using, but address the reasons they continue to return to drugs and alcohol in spite of the negative consequences.

At Cornerstone, we believe that addicts and alcoholics aren't "bad" people who need to be "good" — they're sick people who need to heal, and that starts in our 3- to 5-day medical detox program, where they'll be monitored around the clock by medical personnel who help them slowly and comfortably withdraw from drugs and alcohol. Afterward, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient treatment programs: Newcomers, for those new to the recovery process; Recovery Renewal, for individuals who have been drug and alcohol rehab previously but have found it difficult to stay clean and sober; Young Adult, a program specifically designed for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Only Program, a sisterhood of empowerment made up of all of our female clients.

In each program, patients will receive the opportunity to address past traumas and family of origin issues through one-on-one counseling, peer support, educational lectures and more. Family therapy sessions will open up the healing process to loved ones. Our psychiatric team will look at and address co-occurring mental health issues that may require dual diagnosis treatment. Our fitness therapists will encourage physical activity in our state-of-the-art fitness center to help treat the body as well as the mind. And the entire Cornerstone community, from housekeeping to Admissions to the clinical staff to administration, will surround you with the things you've been lacking: support, encouragement, positivity and kindness.

If you live in or near Lexington, and you have commercial or private BlueCross BlueShield health insurance, there's no reason you should look anywhere else for your addiction treatment needs. At Cornerstone of Recovery, you'll find exactly what you need — and more.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?

No one wakes up enthusiastic to go to drug and alcohol treatment. You may be relieved to be getting help, and you may be exhausted from the toll drugs and alcohol have taken on your life, but excited? Fired up? If you're driving to Knoxville from Lexington to put your BlueCross BlueShield policy to work in getting you quality addiction and alcoholism treatment, those are two emotions you probably won't feel. However ... we think what you'll experience at Cornerstone of Recovery may surprise you. You may never feel like your stay with us is a vacation, but we believe that what we provide, and the way in which we provide it, will change your life, and that you'll find here an experience that delivers you into a future beyond your wildest imagination. Drug and alcohol rehab is about so much more than just stopping — because if that's all that was required, you'd probably have done that on your own. With us, you'll figure out why you continue to drink and use, and how to live life without feeling like it's the only option you have to cope.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

If you've never set foot in the door of an addiction treatment facility, and 12 Step programs are the stuff of TV shows and movies, you probably have several misconceptions about what addiction and recovery are like. In our Newcomers Program, you'll get an education on the disease concept, why it affects some people the way it does, how best to heal from it and how you can live life as a responsible, productive member of society while keeping that disease in check.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

We know all too well — because many of us who work at Cornerstone are in recovery ourselves! — that you never "graduate" from addiction and alcoholism. No diplomas are handed out, and there's no cure to be found. And sometimes, relapse happens. When it does, that doesn't mean failure; it just means that a trip through our Recovery Renewal Program will help you get back on your feet, deal with previously unaddressed issues and resume your recovery stronger than before.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

Youthful experimentation is one thing; addiction and alcoholism in teens and young adults is a whole other matter entirely. Lives can be derailed and futures destroyed, and as a result, men ages 18 to 26 need more than just a standard rehab regimen. They need to be around peers their own age, and they need some assistance figuring out what they want to do and can do with their lives without drugs and alcohol. Our Young Adult Program provides all of that, and more.

Women Only Inpatient Program

Women who develop a problem with alcohol and drugs suffer the same as men, but the issues and traumas they deal with before and during their addiction requires a different approach to recovery. In our Women's Only Program, our female counselors and therapists wrap their arms around all of our female patients, help them find their inner worth and show them the truth of who they are without the mask of drugs and alcohol: strong, capable and independent survivors.

Completion of our residential inpatient program is just the first phase of the treatment process. During their stay, patients may be referred to trauma therapy and/or to some of our other psychotherapeutic lectures and classes, from Dialectical Behavior Therapy to Cognitive Processing Therapy and more. We'll set up family counseling sessions and one-on-one meetings with licensed clinical staff members, and we'll help patients make a discharge plan so that they're well-prepared for what comes next. Whether it's staying at Cornerstone to live in our sober living community and attend our Intensive Outpatient Program or discharging home to Lexington, we'll make sure you have the tools you need to live clean and sober. Because while we're grateful you might choose to use your Kentucky BlueCross BlueShield benefits with us, we count it as a success if we don't see you again — unless it's to visit!
