Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Charlotte NC

alcohol drug rehab accepts blue cross blue shield charlotte ncIf you're struggling with a drug and alcohol problem in Charlotte, check your health insurance policy. If it's a BlueCross BlueShield plan, then the answer to your problem lies four hours to the west along Interstate 40, right outside of Knoxville, Tennessee.

There, you'll find Cornerstone of Recovery, a nationally respected drug and alcohol treatment center that first opened its doors in 1989. Back then, it was a small operation driven by a mighty vision — that anyone with a desire to get clean and sober could do so, with the right tools and the right amount of kindness and understanding. We've grown in the years since, and in 2017, we moved to a new campus on 25 acres that includes 172 beds and more than 250 staff members — but we're still working under the same mission statement handed down by our founder, himself a recovering alcoholic.

That's why many of our employees are in recovery themselves — some of them alumni of Cornerstone itself. Across our campus, you'll find doctors and master's-level clinicians to staff members drawn from the local recovery community, all of whom work toward a common goal: providing addiction recovery to individuals from the Charlotte area, and the rest of the country, who come to us for help. That help begins in our safe, comfortable Medical Detox program, where patients are slowly and comfortably weaned from the drugs and alcohol that have ravaged them. Afterward, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for first-time treatment-goers who need an understanding of their afflictions as well as therapy to heal from them; Recovery Renewal, for those who have been to drug and alcohol rehab in the past but have been unable to remain sober, or who have relapsed; Young Adult, a more active program for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Only Program, designed for female clients to find safety and peace of mind among a sisterhood of other recovering women.

In those programs, all patients undergo a treatment regimen they'll be hard-pressed to find in the Charlotte area, from one-on-one therapy to educational lectures to modalities like Dialectical Behavior Therapy or Cognitive Behavior Therapy ... from family therapy sessions involving loved ones who wish to participate to physical fitness in our state-of-the-art on-campus gym ... from 12 Step meetings to dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues like bipolar disorder or ADHD. At Cornerstone of Recovery, we pride ourselves in being so much more than just another drug and alcohol rehab, which is why residents who live in or near Charlotte with a BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina policy should cast their nets a little wider when they're seeking the best addiction treatment center they can find.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?

At Cornerstone of Recovery, those who come to us from Charlotte for drug and alcohol treatment approved by their BlueCross BlueShield policies will find a unique approach to their wellness. We call it a "whole person" approach to treatment, because we believe in treating the body, mind, emotions and spirit of each person who comes to us for help through an individualized plan that assesses their needs, their traumas, their issues and their goals. By working together at all levels of care, we work to provide our patients with the most comprehensive combination of traditional and evidenced-based therapies in the addiction treatment field, so that they leave us with the best chance at permanent recovery.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

In the Newcomers Program, those who have no previous experience with addiction or alcoholism are given a crash course in the disease concept, so that they can better understand the problems from which they suffer, as well as a robust array of mental, emotional and spiritual tools they can take with them and apply to their lives once they return home to Charlotte, ready to live life to its fullest.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Sometimes, addicts and alcoholics stumble, even after leaving treatment. Perhaps they gloss over or don't address issues that affect them more than they realize. Maybe they don't put into practice the recovery tools they're given. Relapse is indeed a possibility, but it's certainly not defeat: It just means that a program like our Recovery Renewal track is needed to double down on their efforts and to ensure that they put in the work to stay sober long-term.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

Young men who pick up drugs and alcohol at an early age set themselves up for a lifetime of problems. Their futures are jeopardized, their family relationships are damaged and their pride and self-esteem are eroded. And often when they come to rehab, they feel shoehorned into a program with peers much older than them. Our Young Adult Program, designed for men ages 18 to 26, is different. It's a peer support group designed to help them get their lives back on track.

Women Only Inpatient Program

Female patients who experience trauma, abuse and other ramifications of addiction and alcoholism often don't feel comfortable addressing those issues in co-educational treatment. It's understandable, and it's also why we've created our unique Women's Only Program, so that the women who come to us for help are able to bond together into a tight-knit community of empowering and supportive women who march forward with one another toward permanent sobriety.

Residential treatment is just one part of the Cornerstone of Recovery experience available to individuals who live in or near Charlotte with BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina plans. We also offer Intensive Outpatient treatment, an eight-week extension of the residential safety net; and a number of aftercare programs designed to give those who come to us for help a lifeline back to the facility where they found a new beginning. If those things aren't an option, we'll help set them up with aftercare plans back home in Charlotte, help them find recovery resources in their home area and do everything in our power to ensure that when they leave our care, they're able to return home as responsible, productive members of society.
