Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Atlanta Georgia

alcohol drug rehab takes bluecross blueshield atlanta gaIf you live in the Atlanta metropolitan area, are seeking drug and alcohol treatment and have a private or commercial BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia insurance policy, then your search has yielded the best possible opportunity. Cornerstone of Recovery, an addiction and alcoholism treatment center located outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, is in network with most major BlueCross BlueShield plans, and for 30 years, we've helped men and women from across the country — including many from Atlanta — get sober, deal with the issues that have resulted from their drug and alcohol problem and find a new way to live.

Because that's what recovery is all about: Figuring out a way to live life without needing to get drunk or high in order to cope. If all treatment consisted of was stopping the use of drugs and alcohol, you wouldn't need an insurance plan like BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia to help pay for treatment, and you wouldn't need to leave to Atlanta area to find it. Most addicts and alcoholics, however, discover during their respective recovery journeys that drugs and alcohol aren't the problem — they're merely a symptom of the problem, and recovery is about figuring out how to address the actual problems.

You can do that at Cornerstone of Recovery, located on a 25-acre campus a 15-minute drive from downtown Knoxville. With 172 beds and four facilities, we've come a long way since we were founded in 1989, but our treatment philosophy has remained relatively unchanged: that addicts and alcoholics aren't "bad" people who need to straighten up; they're sick people who need hope, healing and recovery, which we have in abundance here at Cornerstone. Patients begin their journey with a 3- to 5-day stay in our safe, comfortable Medical Detox program, where they're slowly weaned from the drugs and alcohol that are destroying them. They then transition into one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, Recovery Renewal, Young Adult or our Women's Only treatment tracks, all of which provide a myriad of therapeutic tools, from peer support to 12 Step facilitation to group therapy to educational lectures to individual counseling. From trauma therapy to other coping therapies, from Activity Therapy on our ropes course to Fitness Therapy in our state-of-the-art on-campus gym ... from dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues by our psychiatric team to family therapy that engages loved ones ... we strive to be so much more than just another drug and alcohol rehab.

Policyholders of BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia who live in Atlanta can probably find decent addiction treatment in the Atlanta area, but they'll be hard-pressed to find a more comprehensive facility that offers such a rich continuum of care than Cornerstone of Recovery.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?

If you're looking for a reputable drug and alcohol treatment facility at which to apply your BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia plan, it may not make sense to leave the Atlanta area to seek it ... until you begin to look deeper at everything that Cornerstone of Recovery has to offer. For one thing, we're three hours north of Atlanta, which means you can get away from the triggers and temptation of home. But we're also a facility founded by a recovering alcoholic and staffed today by a majority of individuals in recovery. From the master's and doctorate level clinicians and therapists to the program counselors to nursing to housekeeping to administration, many of us are veterans of drug and alcohol treatment — including Cornerstone — and we know exactly what you're going through, exactly what you're feeling and exactly what you need to get better in one of our four main programs.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

First-time treatment seekers often feel disoriented and out-of-place. "How," they wonder, "did I end up here?" The answer is simple: Because you have a disease, one that can be managed with the proper tools. In our Newcomers Program, we'll help educate you about your affliction, as well as provide you with the therapeutic tools you need to keep your illness in check and the coping mechanisms you can use to live life on life's terms, without alcohol and drugs.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Recovery is never a straight line — and sometimes, those who seem to be on an upward trajectory can stumble and fall. Relapse does happen, and when it does, those who experience it can feel defeated. Our Recovery Renewal Program is designed to take those individuals, help them dust themselves off, and work alongside them to uncover and address the issues, traumas and experiences that keep them from experiencing long-term and long-lasting sobriety.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

When you're a teen, you may feel invincible — like no drug or drink will ever force you to submit to its will. Addiction and alcoholism are unconcerned with the whims of young men, however, and when those ages 18 to 26 discover they have a problem, they need a program designed specifically for them. That's where our Young Adult Program is different — letting them recover alongside their peers, in a way that meets the needs of their minds and bodies.

Women Only Inpatient Program

Females who fall victim to addiction and alcoholism experience the same sense of hopelessness and helplessness as their male counterparts, but in building them back up into whole and healed human beings, we've found that their needs aren't the same. That's why our unique Women's Only Program is designed to help our female clients process the issues and traumas unique to them, in a safe and supportive sisterhood of other recovering women.

Recovery doesn't end after residential inpatient treatment, and at Cornerstone of Recovery, we won't put you on the road back to Atlanta without helping you come up with a game plan to stay clean and sober once you're back home. That may include helping you make arrangements to seek additional therapy — with a provider that takes your BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia insurance, of course — back home, or helping you to see that staying with us to complete our Intensive Outpatient Program is the best decision you can make. Either way, we want to set you up for success, with all of the tools at our disposal to do so. Your BlueCross BlueShield policy can get you addiction treatment anywhere, but only at Cornerstone will you find a group of dedicated, recovering individuals who will leave no stone unturned to give you a better life.
