Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Aenta Health Insurance Near Atlanta
So you have an Aetna health insurance policy, you live in Atlanta, and you're seeking drug and alcohol treatment. Why, you may be wondering, should you trust an addiction and alcoholism treatment center located three hours to the north, near Knoxville, Tennessee?
Let us answer a question with a question: The headquarters of Aetna, which provides the benefits that will help you pay for treatment, is located in New England ... yet you trust it to meet your health care needs. Why? They're one of the best providers of commercial and private health insurance in the country, that's why, and their location doesn't matter because they meet your needs. It's the same for us here at Cornerstone of Recovery: As one of the most respected drug and alcohol treatment centers in the nation, we treat patients from across the country and have since we were established more than 30 years ago, because where we're located doesn't matter nearly as much to residents of Atlanta, and the rest of the country, as what we do: help those who come to us stop using and drinking, lose the desire to do so and find a new way to live.
While we've grown tremendously over the past three decades — into one of the largest residential treatment providers in the state of Tennessee — we've held firm to our original mission, which combined traditional 12 Step, abstinence-based drug and alcohol recovery with evidence-based psycho-therapeutic tools drawn from medicine, science and academia. Our approach is applied by both licensed and credential clinicians and therapists and counselors drawn from the local recovery community — some of whom are alumni of Cornerstone itself, because we believe in that recovery adage that the therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel. In addition to a safe, comfortable medical detox program in which all patients begin their Cornerstone journey, we have four primary treatment tracks — Newcomers, Recovery Renewal, Young Adult and Women's Only — that include a full continuum of care, from 12 Step facilitation to peer support group therapy to one-on-one counseling to educational lectures to treatment modalities like Schema Therapy, trauma therapy, Activity Therapy and more.
If you're looking to help mend relationships with your family, we've got a robust family therapy program. If you struggle with co-occurring mental health issues like depression or bipolar disorder, we'll provide you with dual diagnosis treatment with the help of our psychiatric team. If you want to rehabilitate your body as well as your mind, we'll get you active in our on-campus, state-of-the-art fitness center. We'll help you do all of these things and more, but what we won't do is help you to simply stop using. At Cornerstone, we know that addiction and alcoholism are about so much more than just the substances, and for recovery to be a permanent fixture, it needs to be about so much more than just quitting. For that reason alone, putting your Aetna plan to work and leaving Atlanta to get help with us is all the reason you need to come to Knoxville, where a new way to live is waiting for you.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
It's difficult to adequately describe what our treatment programs are like, because it's a different experience for every patient — and that's intentional. From the moment you first call us, we'll begin putting together an individual treatment plan to meet your specific needs, based on your drug and alcohol use, your history, your issues, the benefits of your Aetna health insurance plan and the timetable of your arrival from the Atlanta area. We'll do everything we can to give you a general idea of what your stay will look like, but because we don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to addiction and alcoholism treatment, your therapy will be adjusted as you progress, because our goal is to meet your needs wherever you are along the recovery path. We're not a lockdown facility, and you're not kept here against your will — but we believe that what you'll find here is an oasis of comfort, safety, community and acceptance that allows you to emerge from the grime of addiction and alcoholism and embrace the best version of yourself that you can be.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
Our Newcomers Program is exactly what the name implies: a 28- to 35-day program for those new to the recovery process. In most cases, they come to Cornerstone confused by what their lives have become and uneasy about what the future entails. For the former, we educate them about the diseases of addiction and alcoholism, and for the latter, we provide them with the tools to stay clean and sober for good, if they so choose.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
The recovery process is often not a straight line, meaning that those who go through treatment or get clean and sober through a recovery program aren't guaranteed to stay that way. Doing so takes effort and a redress of issues that have been at the core of alcohol and drug use for years, on occasion. Our Recovery Renewal Program is designed to help those who falter tackle those issues, work on their traumas and stop the revolving door cycle of relapse.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
A great many young people indulge in casual experimentation ... but youth is no obstacle against alcoholism and addiction. When those young people find themselves with a drug and alcohol problem, they need treatment that meets them where they're at, which is how our Young Adult Program can help. It's designed for men ages 18 to 26, provides them with therapy among their peers and gives them a more active program in which to heal.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Female patients who come to Cornerstone with an alcohol and drug problem are placed into our unique Women's Only Program, which opened in 2017 when we moved to our new 25-acre campus. Together, these recovering women form strong bonds of camaraderie, support and encouragement, led by female counselors and therapists who provide them with a safe space in which to process issues and traumas that are difficult to do so in the presence of men.
After residential inpatient treatment, those who come to us from the Atlanta area with an Aetna insurance policy will be given an opportunity to stay longer, residing in our Sober Living community and taking part in Intensive Outpatient treatment, which provides additional classes and therapy groups for several hours a day. It's a way to "step down" from drug and alcohol rehab back into the "real world," with incremental increases in freedoms and responsibilities as these patients grow closer to their discharge dates. We'll work with them on a discharge plan to help them establish a firm footing in recovery when they do get home to Atlanta, and we always let them know that once you're a part of the Cornerstone family, you're a member for life — we'll always be here to provide guidance, encouragement and support.
