Inpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Asheville NC
Asheville is a bustling town in the North Carolina mountains, but if you're struggling with addiction or alcoholism, then it can seem like a dark place. Fortunately, if you're a resident of Asheville needing drug and alcohol treatment, and you have a BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina policy, your best way out of that darkness lies two hours to the west, right outside of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Cornerstone of Recovery has been in the addiction and alcoholism treatment business for more than 30 years, and BlueCross BlueShield recognized the work we do early on. As a result, we've been in network with BCBS plans, including many BCBS NC policies of those who live in or near Asheville, for years. We work with insurance companies to ensure that policyholders get the most benefits they can when drugs and alcohol bring them to the brink of physical, emotional and financial ruin. As one of the largest residential drug and alcohol treatment providers in the state of Tennessee, we operate out of a four-facility campus on 25 acres located 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park — a short distance from Asheville, many residents of which have traveled over the mountains to find hope, healing and recovery with us since we first opened our doors in 1989.
Those individuals begin their recovery journey in our safe, comfortable, medically supervised detox program, where they're slowly weaned from the drugs and alcohol that are poisoning their bodies and minds. After 3 to 5 days, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for those embarking on a sobriety journey for the first time; Recovery Renewal, for those who have been to a drug and alcohol rehab in the past but have been unable to remain clean and sober; Young Adult, designed for men ages 18 to 26 to find recovery and plan for a future alongside their peers; and our unique Women's Only Program, in which all of our female clients find a gender-specific safe place in which to get better. During those treatment tracks, all patients will be able to take advantage of our full continuum of care, from 12 Step facilitation to group therapy to one-on-one counseling with licensed therapists and clinicians. We'll involve your family, if you want, in our family therapy component ... we'll work with you to get in better help through Activity Therapy and physical exercise in our state-of-the-art, on-campus fitness center ... and we'll address any dual diagnosis needs for co-occurring mental health problems like ADHD or depression with the help of our on-staff psychiatric team.
At Cornerstone, Asheville residents who put their BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina policies to work for addiction treatment get so much more than simple abstinence training. Addiction and alcoholism are insidious, complex illnesses, and recovery is about so much more than simply putting down the substances, many of which are only a symptom of other problems. We'll help you quit, and we'll help you stay quit through life changes and emotional adjustments that allow you to live life on life's terms without the need for alcohol and drugs.
Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery
What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
It's difficult to answer what drug and alcohol treatment is "like" at Cornerstone of Recovery, because we believe in an individualized approach to treatment. There's no one-size-fits-all methodology that we apply across the board — once your BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina representatives approve your stay at Cornerstone of Recovery, and you arrive from Asheville, we'll work with you on an individualized treatment plan that addresses your needs, issues, traumas and problems. You're not just another patient at Cornerstone, because recovery looks differently for everyone. What we want to assure you of is that it's available to everyone, regardless of how big your problems are or how unique you think your situation might be.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
Individuals reaching out for help for the first time often do so without a point of reference about the addiction or alcoholism from which they suffer. Many times, they come to us under the misconception that addicts and alcoholics are "weak," and that willpower alone should be enough to overcome their problems. It's not, and we'll teach you that and more — along with ways to overcome those problems — in our Newcomers Program.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Sometimes, a single trip through a drug and alcohol rehab isn't enough. Perhaps there are issues or problems you didn't address, or maybe you didn't give the process long enough to take root. Whatever the reason, relapse is a part of many individuals' recovery stories ... but it's not the end of those stories. Our Recovery Renewal Program is designed to help those who can't seem to stay sober find a way to do and to stay that way through deeper work on themselves.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Teenagers rarely to stop to consider the consequences of youthful experimentation with alcohol and drugs. None of them start out thinking about developing alcoholism or an addiction ... but it happens, and when it does, they need a specialized treatment track that addresses their ages, the physical requirements of their bodies and energy levels and the restlessness of their minds. That's exactly what our Young Adult Program is designed to do.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Women who struggle with alcoholism and addiction come to us with a host of issues, traumas and problems that are rooted in their gender identity as much as they are their personal lives. Our unique Women's Only Program provides them with a sheltered environment, among other women seeking recovery, in which to process those things, so that they're able to emerge on the other side with a healthier self-esteem and the confidence needed to return to their lives.
Recovery doesn't stop once you reach the end of your time at Cornerstone of Recovery. Like your BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina policy, it'll be something that stays with you when you return to Asheville ... but like your insurance plan, it also requires "payments." Those payments include new habits and tools that may seem uncomfortable or new at first, but at Cornerstone of Recovery, we'll help you lay the foundation for a successful recovery program that quickly becomes a part of your identity. If you so choose, you can remain part of our community in our Intensive Outpatient Program, an extended safety net of the treatment process. Regardless, once you complete treatment at Cornerstone, you're considered family, and we'll always be here for you even after you return to Asheville.
