Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Humana Health Insurance Near Charlotte NC
If you're struggling with drugs and alcohol, you could change your life with a four-hour drive.
Four hours west of Charlotte, there's a drug and alcohol treatment center called Cornerstone of Recovery that's in network with most major commercial and private insurance providers, including Humana. For more than 30 years, we've treated addicts and alcoholics from across the country, including many from Charlotte, and our reputation has earned us close working relationships with insurance companies like Humana. These companies recognize what we knew in the beginning: that with encouragement, education, therapy, kindness and acceptance, those who suffer from addiction and alcoholism don't have to resign themselves to a permanent state of hopelessness. There is hope, and it's can be found at Cornerstone, located near Knoxville, Tennessee, where we provide treatment from a four-facility campus on 25 acres just 15 minutes from downtown and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Here, those who come to us from Charlotte to use their Humana plan for drug and alcohol rehab will begin their journey in Medical Detox, a 3- to 5-day process that safely, slowly and comfortable weans them from drugs and alcohol. Afterward, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for those seeking treatment for the first time; Young Adult, specifically designed as a more active program for men ages 18 to 26; Recovery Renewal, for those who have been to drug and alcohol rehab in the past but haven't managed to attain permanent sobriety; and Women's Only, an exclusive program for all female patients. Every program offers a full continuum of care, from psychiatric evaluations for dual diagnosis treatment of co-occurring mental health issues like ADHD and anxiety; family therapy to help strengthen the bonds with loved ones; trauma therapy, to address painful experiences of the past; fitness therapy in our on-campus fitness center to heal the body as well as the mind; and a broad array of psychotherapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy and more.
At Cornerstone of Recovery, we recognize that Charlotte residents with Humana insurance need more than just the ability to stop drinking or using drugs. They need to address the reasons why they continue to do those things, even in spite of negative consequences. Recovery isn't just abstinence; it's a new way to live, and the ability to cope with life on life's terms without having to get drunk or high to do so.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
Treatment at Cornerstone of Recovery varies according to each patient, because we work with everyone to come up with an individualized treatment plan that best meets his or her needs. Depending on issues, traumas and problems each client faces, we'll help them determine which therapies will provide them with the best opportunity for healing. We'll introduce them to a community of supportive peers who are all working toward the same goal: recovery. And we'll assign them to counselors, therapists and other clinical staff members who will work with them every step of the way. Our staff, many of them in recovery from addiction and alcoholism themselves, know full well what it's like to come to Cornerstone from a city like Charlotte with nothing but a Humana insurance policy and the hope that our facility can give them a new lease on life. We can, and we will — all we need is you to get here and to have the willingness to change.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
New to sobriety? Wondering why you can't successfully use drugs and alcohol? Feeling overwhelmed with guilt, shame, confusion, frustration and anger? In the Newcomers Program, you're in the right place. We'll help teach you about the disease concept of addiction and alcoholism, teach you how to adjust your emotions and your thinking to cope with life and provide you with the tools you need to better understand yourself and be a part of the world around you without getting drunk or high.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Been to rehab in the past but haven't been able to stay sober? Had some time in a recovery program but relapsed and haven't been able to get back on track? Our Recovery Renewal Program is designed for you. We'll show you that you're not a failure, and neither is recovery: You just need to make some adjustments, address some issues that may have slipped under the radar and build a more robust recovery plan. We'll help you with all of those things.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Are you between the ages of 18 and 26 and struggling with a drug or alcohol problem? Have those problems caused you to lose interest in or any hope for a future? Our Young Adult Program was created with you in mind. We'll engage you on physical, mental and emotional levels that are different from your older peers, and we'll help you work on putting together a plan for the future that includes your interests and passions — ones that don't include drugs and alcohol.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Are you a female addict or alcoholic, frightened by the prospect of trying to address extremely personal and painful traumas in the presence of men? That's one reason our Women's Program can provide you with a safe space, alongside other recovering women, to help you through those sticking points, to process them and to heal from them. It's a sisterhood of supportive, empowering females who help one another find their voices again.
Once you complete residential inpatient treatment, you may feel ready to return home to Charlotte ... but then again, you may feel like 28 to 35 days isn't enough time to get over years and decades of drug and alcohol addiction. For that reason, we encourage each patient to consider Intensive Outpatient, a program that lasts for eight weeks and includes additional therapeutic meetings, peer support groups and educational classes that are an extension of the recovery safety net that Cornerstone provides. In some cases, your Humana policy may provide coverage for our Intensive Outpatient Program, so that you're able to stay in our Sober Living community and take slow, steady steps back into the "real" world before you jump back in with both feet once you're back home in Charlotte.
