Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Cigna Health Insurance Nashville TN
As one of the largest residential drug and alcohol treatment providers in the state of Tennessee, Cornerstone of Recovery has been recognized repeatedly over the years as a place where people from all over the country, including many from Nashville, come to get help. But because of our longstanding relationship as a facility in network with Cigna, we're grateful to be designated as a Cigna Center of Excellence, and to work with individuals living in or near Nashville with a Cigna policy who are need of addiction and alcoholism treatment.
Cigna Substance Use Center of Excellence Near Nashville
So what does that mean for a Cigna policyholder living in Nashville seeking drug and alcohol treatment? Only that the best option for help lies three hours to the east, near Knoxville. It was just outside the city, in a small suburban strip mall, where we got our start in 1989, with 18 beds and 22 staff members. Three years ago, we moved onto a new campus, where we now employ more than 250 staff members and have 172 patient beds, along with a state-of-the-art on-campus fitness center, an outpatient building and the heart of our facility, where patients attend classes, lectures and groups, as well as take their meals in the dining hall overlooking the Little River.
The journey to recovery at Cornerstone begins with a 3- to 5-day stay in Medical Detox, where patients are slowly and safely weaned off of drugs and alcohol. Afterward, they transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for individuals who have never been to rehab or had exposure to recovery; Recovery Renewal, for patients who have been to treatment in the past, or perhaps have had some amount of sobriety, but have not been able to stay sober; Young Adult, a peer support track designed for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Only Program, which provides all female patients with a safe and supportive environment. In these programs, patients will take part in various therapeutic groups and lectures, from peer support to 12 Step facilitation to evidence-based therapies like Acceptance And Integration Training, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and more. In addition, each patient will be evaluated for dual diagnosis treatment needs in order to also treat co-occurring mental health issues like depression or bipolar disorder. We'll work on family issues with our strong family therapy program, and we'll schedule regular exercise groups in our fitness center to rehabilitate the body as well as the mind.
By the end of a patient's residential inpatient stay, he or she will have received the best addiction and alcoholism treatment a Cigna insurance policy can provide. Leaving Nashville for East Tennessee might seem like a frightening prospect, but here in the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains, you'll find a new way to live that will serve you well when you're ready to return home.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
One of the reasons Cornerstone has been designated as a Center of Excellence is because of the value of the services provided to those individuals in Nashville with a Cigna policy who need alcohol and drug treatment. We combine the best of traditional abstinence-based treatment with evidence-based tools drawn from psychology in order to address the reasons our patients struggle so with alcohol and drugs. The substances are often just a symptom of deeper issues, and in order to help those individuals develop new coping mechanisms and recovery tools to stay clean and sober, those deeper issues need to be addressed. We do it in a way that's encouraging, uplifting and nurturing, because many of us are in recovery ourselves — meaning we once sat on the precipice of change, beaten and broken, ready to do whatever it took to stop slowly killing ourselves with drugs and alcohol. If you find yourself in the same spot, then the treatment at Cornerstone of Recovery is the best choice you can make for your future.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
The Newcomers Program at Cornerstone of Recovery is designed for those coming in from the cold for the first time. Newly sober addicts and alcoholics often find themselves bewildered by what addiction and alcoholism have done to their lives, and they come to recovery filled with guilt, shame and embarrassment. This program teaches them that they're sick people, not "bad," but that recovery can teach them about their sickness and help them get better.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Recovery is a process, and sometimes that process is not linear — meaning that even after rehab, some individuals falter and relapse. That doesn't mean they've failed; it simply means there's more work to be done — and in our Recovery Renewal Program, we'll help them figure out what issues need to be addressed so that they can double down on their commitment to sobriety, leave treatment more whole than they've ever been and stay sober for good.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
The Young Adult Program incorporates male patients ages 18 to 26, many of whom are dealing with a drug and alcohol problem that spiraled out of control quickly. Addiction doesn't discriminate by age, and the devastation it inflicts can be visited upon young people just as it can those two or three times their ages. Their recovery needs, however, are different, and we meet those with more interactive, active and vocational therapy that can help them right their lives.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Female addicts and alcoholics come into recovery with different needs than their male counterparts, and in many cases, the traumas and issues they need to deal with in order to recovery are made more complicated by the presence of male peers. Such recognition was the driving force behind the establishment of our Women's Only Program, which provides a gender-specific safety net for all female clients to come together in supportive union of one another's recovery.
As a recognized Center of Excellence, Cigna policyholders from Nashville will discover that addiction and alcoholism treatment don't end with residential inpatient. The full continuum of care at Cornerstone of Recovery includes two additional months of Intensive Outpatient treatment, during which patients stay in our Sober Living community and take part in classes, groups and therapy sessions for three hours a day, four days a week. That additional eight weeks of treatment helps broaden the base of their recovery, so that when the time comes to return home to Nashville, they're far enough removed from the cycle of addiction and alcoholism, and familiar enough with themselves and the recovery tools we help them obtain, to put their recovery to work staying sober for the rest of their lives, should they so choose.
