Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Cigna Health Insurance Greenville SC
In the 12 Step rooms that are the backbone of addiction recovery, a rhetorical question is often posed: How far were you willing to go to get your drugs? After some contemplation, the answer for most addicts is relatively straightforward: however far it takes.
By the same token, then: If you live in or near Greenville and you're struggling with addiction or alcoholism, how far are you willing to go to get better? More importantly, if you have private or commercial health insurance through the Cigna network, how far are you willing to go to find one of the most reputable addiction and alcoholism treatment centers in the nation, certified as a Cigna Center of Excellence?
Cigna Substance Use Center of Excellence Near Greenville
If you're willing to go to the lengths to get recovery that you were willing to go to in order to stay drunk or high, then look no further than Knoxville, Tennessee, a mere 3.5 hours from Greenville, where you'll find Cornerstone of Recovery. Since 1989, Cornerstone has provided unparalleled drug and alcohol treatment for thousands of struggling addicts and alcoholics from around the country, including many who live in or near Greenville. And because of our reputation and longevity, we've cultivated close working relationships with most commercial and private health insurance providers, including Cigna. When those companies approve for treatment at Cornerstone, they know their customers are getting the best possible chance at long-term recovery, which begins with a 3- to 5-day stay in our safe, medically supervised detox program, designed to help patients purge themselves of alcohol and drugs through medical means. Afterward, they'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs — Newcomers, Recovery Renewal, Young Adult and Women's Only — and begin the process of untangling the use of substances from their underlying issues.
To that end, we use both traditional addiction and alcoholism treatment methods, like 12 Step recovery, and evidenced-based clinical tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Process Therapy, trauma therapy, Schema Therapy and more. We'll evaluate each client for dual diagnosis treatment needs, so that our psychiatric team can treat any co-occurring mental health issues like depression or anxiety. We'll assign each patient a therapist and a primary counselor, and we'll assess treatment needs through an individualized plan of care that takes into account the best rehabilitation techniques we can apply to treat the body, mind and spirit. Patients can expect to spend some time at our on-campus ropes course as part of Activity Therapy, and in our modern, state-of-the-art fitness center for Fitness Therapy. We'll help heal wounds between patients and their family members with our family therapy program, and we'll assimilate each patient into a peer support group of individuals on the same recovery journey as themselves.
We do it all from our 25-acre campus, to which we moved in 2017, just 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's not a very far drive at all from Greenville, but it's far enough that the stress and worry of home can be left behind, and the Cigna policy into which you've contributed can be put to use to help get you better.
Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery
What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
When Cornerstone of Recovery was first established in 1989, our founder — himself a recovering alcoholic — had an overwhelming desire to help others who struggled, even though the resources at his disposal were meager at the time. In the beginning, Cornerstone started with 18 beds and 22 staff members in a strip mall just outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. In 2017, we moved to a four-facility, 25-acre campus that made us one of the largest drug and alcohol treatment providers in the state, but our desire to help others who struggle is just as overwhelming. From the housekeeping staff to the executive vice president of our organization, individuals who have found a way out of addiction and alcoholism thanks to recovery make up our team of dedicated employees, and we all — in recovery and not — have found at Cornerstone a calling to help addicts and alcoholics from around the country, including many who live in or near Greenville. If you're seeking addiction or alcoholism treatment n network with your Cigna health insurance plan, you won't find better care than what we provide.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
For first-time treatment-goers, coming to terms with addiction or alcoholism can be difficult. Burdened by guilt, shame and embarrassment, those individuals often feel like failures. In our Newcomers Program, we teach them that they're anything but — that they're sick people, not "bad" people, but with the right treatment and a program of recovery, they can find a way to heal and a way of life better than any they could possibly imagine.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
After an individual completes drug and alcohol treatment at Cornerstone, we never want to see them again (unless it's for a visit!) — because that means recovery is working for that person. However, sometimes challenging circumstances arise. Relapse occurs. And those individuals are often left needing more in-depth treatment to get to the root of their issues and traumas. That's where our Recovery Renewal Program comes into the picture.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
An early start in experimentation with alcohol and drugs can lead to the early onset of addiction and alcoholism. It may sound surprising that our Young Adult Program, designed for men ages 18 to 26, is necessary, but drugs and alcohol don't discriminate by age, and when young men need help, we find they heal better and stronger when they're in a group of other young men all pursuing the same goals. It's a more active program with a vocational component as well.
Women Only Inpatient Program
We steer all of our female patients into a single Women's Only Program, because we've found that the protective, nurturing environment created by a sisterhood of recovering women is incomparable in any other co-educational capacity. By giving female clients a safe space to process issues and traumas unique to them, we allow them space to come to terms with the havoc addiction and alcoholism have caused, and to find a way to move forward as free women.
After residential inpatient treatment, residents of Greenville can return home — with an aftercare plan we'll help them set up — or they can choose to enroll in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), an extension of the treatment safety net that gives them more time away from home to firmly establish their recovery. IOP groups meet four days a week, three hours at a time, and patients who attend stay in our Sober Living housing while they attend. They earn privileges, find employment and take advantage of volunteer opportunities, so that the transition back to society is a gentler and slower one. It's an ideal treatment option for those whose lives need a great deal of reorganization before they're able to cope, and we're honored to include it as part of a full continuum of care for those seeking the best treatment their Cigna plan can provide.
