Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Aetna Near Chattanooga TN
For those struggling with a drug and alcohol problem in the Chattanooga, there's a solution just up the road.
Located right up Interstate 75 near Knoxville, Cornerstone of Recovery has provided addiction and alcoholism treatment services to Tennessee residents — including many who live in or near Chattanooga — for more than 30 years. Our treatment philosophy, history of proven success and close working relationships with other providers and clinicians has earned us a reputation as one of the best drug and alcohol rehabs in the country, which is why those with an Aetna health insurance policy who need drug and alcohol treatment can use those benefits at Cornerstone. We're in network with most major private and commercial health insurance providers, including Aetna, which gives its clients access to a full continuum of care at Cornerstone of Recovery.
That care begins in our Medical Detox program, where patients spend 3 to 5 days in a safe, comfortable environment detoxing from the drugs and alcohol that have plagued them for so long. Afterward, they'll transition into one of our four residential treatment programs: Newcomers, for those seeking help for their problem for the first time; Recovery Renewal, for individuals who have been to treatment in the past but have been unable to stay clean and sober; Young Adult, a program designed specifically for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Only Program, which lifts up and heals all female clients seeking help for a drug and alcohol problem. Individuals in all programs will have an opportunity to take advantage of a full range of treatment services, from traditional, 12 Step-based methods that have been part of our philosophy since 1989 to evidence-based psychological therapies like Cognitive Processing Therapy, Schema Therapy, trauma therapy and more.
But that's not all. We moved to our present location — a four-facility campus on 25 acres, 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville — in 2017, so all of our buildings are spacious, modern and comfortable. Patients will take part in Fitness Therapy at our on-campus gym, eat three meals a day in our dining hall overlooking the Little River and stay in our on-campus residence tower. We'll evaluate their psychiatric needs to make sure we provide dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues, and we'll invite their loved ones to take part in our family therapy program, should they be willing. More than anything else, we'll use our experience — because a great many of us on staff are in recovery from addiction and alcoholism ourselves — to share the strength and hope that have been part of our mission from the beginning: that recovery is possible for anyone. If you live in Chattanooga and are looking for the best possible facility to use your Aetna behavioral health benefits, you've found it here at Cornerstone of Recovery.

At Cornerstone, we don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to recovery, because everyone who comes to us has different needs. Our goal is to best meet those needs using a broad array of clinical, traditional and educational tools at our disposal, so that you not only stop using and drinking, but learn how to live a successful and fulfilling life without feeling the need to do so again.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
For those seeking help for drugs and alcohol for the first time, the most eye-opening part of addiction and alcoholism treatment is learning that they have a disease — recognized as such by the medical and scientific establishment. In our Newcomers Program, we provide equal parts information and therapy, so that not only can they heal from their afflictions, they can return home to Chattanooga with a better understanding of who they are and what they need to do to stay clean and sober.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
For those with previous drug and alcohol rehab experience who have been unable to stay clean and sober, recovery might seem hopeless. We assure you — it certainly is not, and in our Recovery Renewal Program, we'll help you uncover the reasons why relapse has played such a large role in your journey. Whether it's the healing of old traumas or the redress of previously undiscussed issues, we'll help you determine what changes you can make in order to stay clean and sober for good.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Teens and young adults who start out using alcohol and drugs don't plan on becoming addicts and alcoholics ... but it can and does happen, often before they're fully aware of what's going on. By the time they do, their educational paths are derailed, family lives are disrupted and future dreams dismantled ... but in our Young Adult Program, designed for men ages 18 to 26, we'll help them put all of those things back together again, only this time with the permanence of sobriety.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Women caught up in the grips of addiction and alcoholism are often driven by trauma, or they suffer trauma because of the decisions associated with their illnesses. Healing that trauma is a necessary part of the recovery process, but it can be complicated in coeducational settings — which is why our unique Women's Only Program is designed as a safe shelter for those female clients, a place for them to overcome shame, reclaim self-confidence and emerge as sober individuals.
After residential inpatient treatment, all clients are provided with the opportunity to take part in Intensive Outpatient treatment, a four-week extension of the Cornerstone safety net that provides classes, lectures and groups for several hours a day. They have the option to remain part of the community in our Sober Living housing, and they have greater freedom (and responsibilities) than their inpatient counterparts. It's a way of softening the transition back into what can be a harsh reality of daily living, so that when the time comes for them to return home to Chattanooga, they've gotten everything they can — out of their Aetna policy benefits, and out of the hope, healing and recovery we offer here at Cornerstone.
