Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Humana Near Nashville TN
Nashville is a bustling metropolis, one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and with that growth has come an explosion in options for drug and alcohol treatment. At Cornerstone of Recovery, located just three hours east of Nashville near Knoxville, Tennessee, you'll find exactly what you need — quality addiction and alcoholism treatment built on 30 years of tradition, in network with most major commercial and private insurance providers, including Humana, and a place where you can get away from the hectic hum of Music City to get your life back on track.
Since we were first established in 1989, we've provided thousands addicts and alcoholics — including many who live in and around Nashville — with the help they need to stop using and drinking the substances that are destroying their lives, and deal with the pressures, stresses and issues that have made those substances such a consuming alternative. Our success rate has earned the respect of the majority of insurance companies, including Humana, all of which recognize that our approach — a combination of traditional, abstinence-based treatment using the 12 Steps with a broad spectrum of evidence-based psychological therapies and tools — provide the best outcomes for those needing addiction and alcoholism treatment.
The journey for each Nashville patient who comes to us with a Humana plan begins in our Medical Detox unit, where they're given comfort medication to slowly and safely wean them from drugs and alcohol under medical supervision. They then move over to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for men who are seeking treatment for the first time; Recovery Renewal, for men who haven't been able to stay clean and sober despite previous rehab stays or stints in recovery programs; Young Adult, for 18- to 26-year-old men who need a more hands-on approach; and our unique Women's Only program, for all of our female clients. Each patient will receive an individualized treatment plan that best meets their recovery needs, and while some elements are common across the curricula of each — peer support groups, one-on-one counseling, Activity Therapy and Schema Therapy, for example — there are other therapies designed to meet specific problems.
Dealing with past trauma? Cognitive Processing Therapy and trauma therapy can help with that. Have co-occurring mental health issues that need dual diagnosis treatment? Our psychiatric team can help with that. Want to mend fences with family members hurt by your addiction or alcoholism? That's where our Family Therapy program can help. Interested in getting in better shape now that you're no longer drinking or using? Fitness Therapy in our state-of-the-art, on-campus fitness center will help you do that.
The fitness center is one of four buildings on our campus, which sits on 25 acres just 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We're one of the largest residential treatment providers in Tennessee, and for Middle Tennessee addicts and alcoholics looking to get help through their Humana policy, we'll take you in, help you get better and offer you refuge from the noise of Nashville.
Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery
What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
In 1989, Cornerstone of Recovery opened for business with 18 beds, 22 staff members and a whole lot of doubt on the part of others in the drug and alcohol treatment field. It was understandable; an upstart operation often has a slim chance of succeeding ... but at Cornerstone, our founder was driven by a fervent belief that with the right amount of therapy, education, kindness, acceptance, encouragement and love, those who come to us for help can break the cycle of addiction and alcoholism. Over three decades, our approach has remained largely the same. We've continued to examine and incorporate new experiential and psychological therapies, and the credentials of our staff members have grown lengthier, but we remain committed to providing an oasis from the guilt and shame of addiction and alcoholism and an opportunity to climb out of the ever-deepening abyss that those illnesses are. Whether you're from Nashville with a Humana insurance policy or any other city and town in Middle Tennessee, there's a place for you here at Cornerstone of Recovery.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
The Newcomers Program takes those with no previous knowledge or exposure to the treatment process and provides them with both education and therapy. They’ll learn about the disease of addiction and its biological and scientific natures, as well as gather information and tools needed to change their own thinking and behaviors so that the adjustments needed to recover from those illnesses can be applied in a real-world setting after they leave treatment.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
After going through rehab and emerging with a headful of new ideas and ways to change, putting them into practice can be a challenge. Sometimes, individuals aren't up to it, and they can fall victim to relapse. The Recovery Renewal Program is designed to help get them back on the road to recovery, double down on their efforts, work on issues that haven't been addressed and make more robust plans for how to stay clean and sober permanently once they leave treatment.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
Young addicts and alcoholics in the 18- to 26-year-old age range often find it difficult to identify with and engage with their older peers. For this reason, men this age are grouped together in our Young Adult Program, which provides a greater emphasis on physical activity and more age-appropriate psychotherapy material designed to meet them where they're at. There are also vocational elements designed to assist them in planning for their futures.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Female clients who come to us for drug and alcohol treatment need the be uplifted and validated — and the best way we can do that is by providing them entry into our unique Women's Only Program. There, they'll take part in a program designed specifically for women, led by women, in which the issues, traumas and experiences of their gender can be addressed and healed without the complicating presence of male peers.
The good thing about Cornerstone of Recovery's proximity to Nashville? We're not that far away, and if you come to us to put your Humana plan to work in getting treatment for drugs and alcohol, you can extend your stay after residential inpatient and take part in our Intensive Outpatient Program. There, you'll continue to attend lectures and support groups for several hours a day, stay in our Sober Living community and work toward reintegrating back into the "real" world. After a certain amount of time, you'll be able to take therapeutic leaves back home to Nashville to visit family, obtain use of your cell phone, find employment or engage in volunteer opportunities at Cornerstone or in the local community. It's a way of slowly transitioning back into a life that sometimes feels unfamiliar and strange without drugs and alcohol, but it's also a way to remain part of a community that holds you accountable and lifts you up.
