Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Humana Health Insurance Chattanooga TN
Is it worth a two-hour drive to change your life? For most people, the answer is "yes," but for individuals living in Chattanooga who are desperate to find a way out of addiction or alcoholism, that should be a no-brainer. Fortunately for those individuals, there's a drug and alcohol treatment center two hours up Interstate 75, near Knoxville, Tennessee, that can do just that.
Cornerstone of Recovery opened its doors in 1989 and has grown over the past three decades into a nationally recognized drug and alcohol treatment center. We've treated thousands of addicts and alcoholics from around the country, including many from the Chattanooga area, and because of our longevity and our results, we've cultivated long-standing relationships with most major health insurance providers like Humana. What does that mean for Chattanooga residents who have Humana insurance and need drug and alcohol rehab? In two hours, you can be on the way to changing your life for the better.
That change begins in our Medical Detox program, where for 3 to 5 days, you'll be medically supervised while you're slowly, safely and comfortably withdrawn from drugs and alcohol. Afterward, you'll transition to one of our four residential inpatient programs — Newcomers, Recovery Renewal, Young Adult or Women's Only — each of which last, on average, 28 to 35 days. During that time, you'll be able to take advantage of all of our therapeutic offerings, from traditional 12 Step recovery facilitation to peer support group therapy to one-on-one counseling to evidence-based therapy models like Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma therapy and more. Do you want to rebuild broken relationships with loved ones? Our family therapy program can help with that. Do you worry about getting dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health problems like bipolar disorder? Our Psychiatric Services team can help with that. Are you desperate to improve your physical health? You can do that in our state-of-the-art fitness center, one of four buildings on our 25-acre campus located 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville.
At Cornerstone of Recovery, we pride ourselves on our commitment to drug and alcohol treatment — not just because of our history, but because so many of us who work here are in recovery ourselves. This is our job, but it's also a calling, and carrying the message to others who still suffer is integral to our own recovery work. That's why, for Chattanooga residents with Humana insurance, we confident that you can come to Cornerstone and stop using and drinking, lose the desire to do so and find a new way to live.
Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery
What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?
When Cornerstone first opened for business in September 1989, we started small, with only 18 beds and 22 staff members. Today, we have 172 beds, 250-plus staff members and are considered one of the largest residential treatment providers in the state of Tennessee. What does that mean for those who live in or near Chattanooga with health insurance through Humana? It means that the best opportunity for permanent sobriety can be found here at Cornerstone of Recovery, where you'll be helped by those who have been where you're at, know what you're going through and have found the tools necessary to improve their lives. Nothing we do is magic, but it is miraculous — especially when you consider just how much wreckage our addiction and alcoholism cause in our lives.
Newcomers Inpatient Program
What does it mean to be a newcomer? In our Newcomers Program, it means that "addict" and "alcoholic" are labels still associated with shame, and those individuals coming to terms with what alcohol and drugs have done to their lives are comfortable with them yet. It means educating them about why they're so afflicted as well as treating them with therapy and counseling so that they learn to accept themselves, heal themselves and emerge from the darkness with heads held high.
Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program
Why do addicts and alcoholics relapse? Loved ones often find themselves frustrated and angry because it happens, but it's more common than you might think. The key to breaking the cycle, however, is a program like our Recovery Renewal track, which takes those individuals on a deeper dive into their problems, traumas, coping skills and other issues that have prevented them from obtaining permanent sobriety.
Young Adult Inpatient Program
You don't have to be middle-aged or a senior citizen to suffer from addiction or alcoholism. It affects young people just as much, but 18- to 26-year-old men, who make up our Young Adult Program, have different recovery needs. In this program, they'll be engaged on a more physical level, met where they're at emotionally and intellectually and encouraged to begin looking at a future outside of Cornerstone, one that doesn't include drugs and alcohol.
Women Only Inpatient Program
Why do we separate male and female patients at Cornerstone of Recovery? Doing so eliminates distraction, for one thing, but an even better reason is the need that women have for a safe and secure place in which to process issues and traumas unique to their gender. It's difficult for them to do so in groups that include men, which is why we reserve our Women's Only Program specifically for all female patients who come to us for help with drugs and alcohol.
The road to recovery doesn't end when residential inpatient treatment does. It's often a lifelong process, and even after returning home to Chattanooga, we'll encourage those who come to us for help to set up an aftercare plan to safeguard the new way of life they've found with us. Still others may not be ready to go home, which is where our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) comes in. As part of it — and it may be covered partially or entirely by your Humana plan — you'll continue to attend groups and therapy sessions for several hours a day while stay in our Sober Living community with peers. You'll slowly accumulate privileges and responsibilities that allow you to "test drive" your new sobriety in the "real" world while returning home every evening to a safe community in which you're protected and nurtured. It's a way of extending the treatment safety net, and we encourage all who come to us for help to consider it.
