Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts United Healthcare Insurance Charlotte NC

Alcohol Drug Rehab Takes UnitedHealthcare Charlotte NC
If you live in the Charlotte area, have a UnitedHealthcare insurance plan and are in need of drug and alcohol treatment, what if we told you that one of the best alcoholism and addiction treatment facilities in the nation is a short drive away?

Cornerstone of Recovery, located near Knoxville, Tennessee, has been providing the most comprehensive care for struggling addicts and alcoholics for more than 30 years to individuals from across the country, including many who live in or near Charlotte. As a private facility, we're in network with most major commercial and private insurance plans, including United Healthcare, whose policyholders will find that Cornerstone provides the best addiction and alcoholism treatment available. We believe in a "whole person" approach to treatment, meaning that stopping the use of alcohol and drugs is just the first step. We accomplish that through a 3- to 5-day Medical Detox program that helps them safely, slowly and comfortably wean from the substances that are wrecking their lives ... but afterward, we dive into the issues, traumas, problems and sticking points that keep them returning to alcohol and drugs even in the face of negative consequences.

We do that by introducing them to one of our four unique programs: Newcomers, for those seeking treatment for the first time and need to embrace the idea that alcoholism and addiction are diseases instead of moral failings; Recovery Renewal, for individuals who have been to rehab previously but have relapsed or been unable to manage permanent sobriety; Young Adult, for men ages 18 to 26 who need a more hands-on and active program; and our Women's Only Program, an oasis of safety and comfort for female clients who face different issues and experiences. Within those programs, patients will receive a broad variety of therapy, from one-on-one counseling to peer support processing groups to educational lectures; from trauma therapy to evidence-based psychotherapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; from dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues like ADHD and bipolar disorder to family therapy for loved ones who want to be a part of the recovery process; from physical fitness in our on-campus gym to Activity Therapy at our on-campus ropes course.

We do it all on a 25-acre campus 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where we moved in 2017 as we grew into one of the largest residential treatment providers in the state of Tennessee. Addicts and alcoholics from across the country — including many from the Charlotte area — come to us for recovery, because we provide the best that their UHC plans will cover, and our goal is to show them a new way of life beyond the shackles of alcohol and drugs.

Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?

Drug and alcohol treatment at Cornerstone begins with your first phone call, when our trained and compassionate Admissions staff help you figure out exactly what your UnitedHealthcare plan will cover, and how to best get you from Charlotte to Knoxville to begin your journey. Once you're here, you'll be welcomed by a community of individuals who are on that same journey — both fellow patients and our staff members, the majority of whom are in recovery from addiction and alcoholism themselves and know exactly how you feel and what you're dealing with. We believe strongly in the therapeutic value of one addict and alcoholic helping another, and our clinical personnel are drawn from both the drug and alcohol treatment field and the local recovery community, so that our counselors and therapists are made up of both licensed and credentialed individuals and those with real-world recovery experiences.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

If you've found yourself grappling with a drug and alcohol problem, you may have no idea how this happened or what to do about it. That's where our Newcomers Program comes in. Not only will you received the best therapy your United Healthcare plan can provide, you'll also receive a well-rounded education in the biological nature of addiction and how what you're dealing with has affected your body, mind and spirit, so that you have the best tools possible to get better.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Sometimes, drug and alcohol rehab doesn't "take." Perhaps there are issues that aren't dealt with. Maybe the individual doesn't do the follow-up work necessary to stay clean and sober. Whatever the case, relapse can and does happen ... but it doesn't need to be the end of anyone's journey. In our Recovery Renewal Program, we provide a vigorous and in-depth path out of the repetitive cycle of relapse so that those who struggle can find their footing and stay sober.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

When young people start experimenting with alcohol and drugs while they're still technically kids, addiction and alcoholism can get a head start on derailing young lives. Our Young Adult Program, for men ages 18 to 26, helps those individuals overcome the problems that have kept them from growing into the men they want to be: responsible, productive and accountable individuals whose hopes and dreams are rekindled, thanks to a program that shows them a future.

Women Only Inpatient Program

Women who fall victim to addiction and alcoholism often find themselves afraid or uncomfortable to talk about the traumas and experiences that have impacted them in co-educational therapeutic groups. In our unique Women's Only Program, they'll find a safe space designed to allow them to open up, to heal and to move on in life unencumbered by drugs and alcohol, so that they can become the strong, independent and confident women we know them to be.

After residential inpatient treatment, some individuals aren't ready to return home to Charlotte. Perhaps their home environments are unstable; maybe they sense they aren't ready. Either way, we provide a follow-up Intensive Outpatient program that allows them to remain part of the Cornerstone community through Sober Living housing while continuing therapeutic groups for several hours a day, four days a week. It's an extension of the safety net provided by Cornerstone of Recovery, so that they feel more confident and comfortable, when the time comes, returning home as newly minted sober individuals. We work with these individuals and their family members to provide this therapeutic extension, and in many cases, their United Healthcare plans will contribute to the financial obligation. Whatever the situation might be, we know that recovery is an ongoing process, and we'll make every effort to ensure that those who come to us for help from Charlotte can get all the tools we provide in order to remain clean and sober.
