Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Cigna Health Insurance Atlanta GA

Cigna Substance Use Center of Excellence Atlanta

There are plenty of reputable drug and alcohol treatment facilities in the Atlanta area, but for residents looking to get out of the city and get help for a drug and alcohol problem, the best option lies three hours to the north, near Knoxville, Tennessee.

Cornerstone of Recovery has served struggling addicts and alcoholics from across the country — including many who live in or near Atlanta — for more than 30 years, and because of our reputation and longevity, we're in network with most major commercial and private insurance providers, including Cigna. In fact, Atlanta residents insured through a Cigna plan can rest assured that Cigna's designation of Cornerstone as a Center of Excellence makes us the ideal destination for anyone who wants to stop drinking or using, lose the desire to do so and find a new way to live.

Cigna Substance Use Center of Excellence Near Atlanta

By leaving Atlanta to get help, individuals who suffer from addiction or alcoholism will find a respite from the triggers and temptations of home on our 25-acre campus, to which we moved in 2017. Here, we're spread out across four facilities, including a comfortably furnished residence tower and a state-of-the-art fitness center, because at Cornerstone, we believe that recovery is a process that treats the body as well as the mind and the spirit. Fitness Therapy is just one of many treatment modalities that are part of each patient's individualized therapeutic curriculum, which begins with a 3- to 5-day stay in Medical Detox. There, each patient is tended to by clinical and medical personnel to ensure the slow, safe and comfortable process of detoxing from drugs and alcohol before they transfer to one of our four residential inpatient programs: Newcomers, for addicts and alcoholics looking to get clean and sober for the first time; Recovery Renewal, for those who have been to drug and alcohol rehab in the past but have struggled to stay clean and sober; Young Adult, for men ages 18 to 26; and our Women's Only Program, for female clients who require their own space in which to heal.

In each program, patients will experience a full continuum of care, including one-on-one counseling; evaluation and treatment, if needed, by our psychiatric team for those in need of dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues like depression or bipolar disorder; trauma therapy for those whose past deeply affects their present; and the recognition of poor coping skills and life traps through such methods as Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and more. That's not all: We also provide team-building and trust exercises through Activity Therapy; a strong and interactive family program for those who want to heal divisions with their loved ones; one-on-one counseling and therapy; and much, much more.

At Cornerstone of Recovery, we believe that addiction and alcoholism involve so much more than simple overindulgence of substances. After all, if quitting was the solution, why is it so hard to do? Why do so many addicts and alcoholics continue to return to those same substances, even when faced with enormous vocational, educational, social and legal consequences? These are illnesses inextricably tied to an individual's identity, and helping them discover and embrace who they are without drugs and alcohol is the overarching goal of the recovery that we provide, which makes us not just an ideal choice for Atlanta residents with Cigna insurance, but one of the best available out of them all.

What Is Involved With The Alcoholism Treatment Programs?

What makes our addiction and alcoholism treatment work leaving Atlanta? What gives you the best value for the money you put into your Cigna health insurance plan? That's a loaded question, but two of the top reasons are:

  1. Our integrity. We were founded more than 30 years ago by a recovering alcoholic, who believed passionate that recovery is a calling for those who have found it to help those who have not. His family still owns Cornerstone of Recovery, and we've integrated his vision and philosophy into everything we do, because while we are a business, the service we provide is more intangible and much more valuable than a physical object: It's hope, that addiction and alcoholism don't have to destroy lives, because there's a way out of the darkness in which those things exist.
  2. Our commitment. It's easy to tout the credentials of our staff, and we're certainly proud of all of them. From the M.D. of our medical director to the Ph.D of our clinical director to the various master's level therapists that provide excellent care, they're all committed to helping patients find hope, healing and recovery. But it's also a point of pride for us that the majority of our staff are in recovery themselves and know exactly what our patients are feeling and have experienced. We believe strongly that the "therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel," and the individuals on our team drawn from the local recovery community often make the biggest difference in the lives of our patients, from housekeeping to administration to the clinical team.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

Addiction and alcoholism are slow and insidious diseases that often destroy great swaths of an individual's life before he or she realizes just how bad things have gotten. Once they do, they often don't know where to begin, or why it's gotten so bad. In our Newcomers Program, we help them to understand exactly what addiction and alcoholism are, and then we show them recovery tools they can use to improve their lives so that these afflictions can be arrested.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

In a perfect world, a drug and alcohol rehab stay would help those who suffer right their ships and continue on their life journeys without a look back. The world is imperfect, of course, and recovery isn't always that simple. Sometimes, individuals overlook certain issues that affect them deeply. Other times, they don't put into practice the tools they have to stay sober. Our Recovery Renewal Program is designed specifically to help those individuals get back on track.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

Young people who start out experimenting with drugs and alcohol never do so with the intention of becoming an addict or an alcoholic ... but it happens, and when it does, our Young Adult Program is designed to help get them back on track. It's designed specifically for men ages 18 to 26, so that they can bond with similarly aged peers, receive more active therapy and begin to think about a future without the specter of alcohol and drugs.

Women Only Inpatient Program

The Women's Only Program at Cornerstone of Recovery is one of treatment tracks of which we're most proud. It's designed specifically for female patients to immerse themselves in a safe and supportive environment, sheltered from masculine energy that can make some women hurt by past trauma uncomfortable, so that they can lift one another up, nurture one another and help each other find the confidence and recovery to move forward.

After residential inpatient treatment, we offer those who come to us for help the opportunity to continue their therapy by enrolling in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). It's designed as an extension of the safety net provided by Cornerstone, so that those individuals who aren't ready to return home to Atlanta can stay in our Sober Living community and take part in therapy for several hours a day in order to firm up the foundation of their recovery. It's not mandatory, but it is encouraged, because it's difficult to overcome years, and sometimes decades, of alcohol and drug use in 30 days or less. For those who live in or near Atlanta and want to find the best drug and alcohol treatment their Cigna insurance plan can provide, our IOP treatment is another reason Cornerstone is one of the best.
