Alcohol & Drug Rehab That Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield In Knoxville TN

Alcohol Drug Rehab Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Knoxville TNBack in 1989, when residents of Knoxville needed drug and alcohol treatment, there were a lot of choices — so many that a lot of professionals in the addiction treatment field didn't think a new drug and alcohol rehab stood much of a chance of making it. They turned out to be mistaken, however, and now, more than three decades later, that facility — Cornerstone of Recovery — has grown from a modest 18-bed addiction and alcoholism treatment center in a suburban strip mall into one of the largest residential treatment providers in the state.

Today, Cornerstone operates from a four-facility campus on 25 acres, 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Much of our success can be attributed to the recognition by various commercial and private health insurance providers like BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee that the drug and alcohol treatment offered at Cornerstone of Recovery is without parallel. For those who live in or near Knoxville with BlueCross BlueShield insurance and are in need of drug and alcohol treatment, there is no better choice than Cornerstone of Recovery, which offers a full continuum of care, including:

  • Medical Detox, a 3- to 5-day regimen in which addicts and alcoholics can safely and comfortably wean themselves off of drugs and alcohol under the supervision of our medical staff.
  • Residential inpatient addiction and alcoholism treatment in one of our four primary treatment programs — Newcomers, for those attempting to get clean and sober for the first time; Recovery Renewal, for individuals with previous drug or alcohol rehab experiences who have relapsed; Young Adult, a more active program for men ages 18 to 26; and our unique Women's Only Program, specifically geared toward female clients.
  • Psychiatric services for those who need dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues like bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression and more.
  • A robust therapeutic regimen, from family counseling to peer support to 12 Step groups to educational lectures to various treatment modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and more;
  • Activity therapy at our on-campus ropes course, physical exercise in our state-of-the-art fitness center and other ways to treatment the body as well as the mind and the spirit;
  • Intensive Outpatient treatment for those who complete or are unable to commit to residential treatment; and
  • Sober Living facilities for individuals who need a safety net away from their home environment.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Knoxville residents with BlueCross BlueShield insurance may be able to find another drug and alcohol treatment facility that accepts their insurance, but they won't find a better one than Cornerstone of Recovery. We're honored to be in network with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, as well as BCBS of other states, and we consider it a privilege to continue serving the Knoxville area after more than three decades.

What does Treatment Entail?

Drug and alcohol treatment is, to put it simply, nothing like what you'd expect ... at least not the way that Cornerstone does it. There's a reason we've been in business for more than 30 years, and that insurance companies like BlueCross BlueShield partner with us to provide addiction and alcoholism treatment to their customers: Because we combine traditional methods of rehabilitation with evidence-based psychiatric and scientific practices to give our patients to best chance at long-term sobriety once they leave our care. As a facility staffed by a majority of employees who are also in recovery themselves, we understand the mixture of emotions those coming to treatment for the first time, or the 10th time, feel, and our entire mission is anchored by the philosophy that addicts and alcoholics aren't "bad" people who need to be "good" — they're sick people who need to get better, and they can do so at our facilities and with our therapies.

Newcomers Inpatient Program

During a 28- to 35-day stay in our Newcomers Program, individuals who come to Cornerstone feeling defeated or defective are given the tools to not only change that mindset, but to understand it. Addiction and alcoholism are medically and scientifically recognized diseases, and to recover from them, patients getting treatment for the first time need both education and healing.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Recovery is often not a straight line from "addict" or "alcoholic" to "fully recovered." Sometimes, people with previous drug and alcohol rehab experiences or lengthy amounts of abstinence can relapse, and that's where our Recovery Renewal Program can do the most good. Through in-depth and intense therapy, it helps those who struggle to maintain sobriety uncover faulty coping mechanisms and replace them with better ones.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

For men ages 18 to 26 who come to us with a drug or alcohol problem, they're usually struggling to find their place in a society that's passed them by while their lives have been distracted, derailed and destroyed by addiction. In our Young Adult Program, we help them not only to recover from alcoholism and addiction, we help them discover their potential as responsible, productive members of their communities.

Women Only Inpatient Program

Addiction and alcoholism take a toll on everyone they afflict, but women, in particular, often face unique issues, traumas and problems. In our Women's Only Program, we provide them a safe place in which to process the intricacies that are wrapped up in their drinking and drug use, so that they can put aside shame and guilt; heal emotional wounds; and find encouragement in a sisterhood of women who seek to empower one another.

Our four residential inpatient treatment programs are just the beginning. As a Knoxville resident with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee seeking addiction or alcoholism treatment at Cornerstone of Recovery, you can also take advantage of our options for post-residential care. A comprehensive rehab doesn't just cut off therapy at 30 days, which is why we offer additional programs like Intensive Outpatient , which gives patients a chance to extend their stay; Sober Living housing, which provide on-campus or nearby living quarters for IOP clients and those in our partial hospitalization program; in-treatment and follow-up mental health care as part of our psychiatric services, which helps with the regulation of co-occurring disorders; as well as Aftercare groups for alumni who wish to maintain contact with the facility that helped their lives change.
